hi :)
as GEAR say's , it's all in the log ,which he has read real well
lenabena seems to have done every thing right
@Gear hi :)
from what i can find on this drive (which is very confused) it's not the best by any means, issues go way back to 2003 with it.
the firmware seems to up to date (you note i say seems)
i'd be inclined to think it was a drive issue

yeah those drives are usually in dells or gateways more often then not..
hard to look em up..

gear no one 'jumped the gun' just trying to rule out the most common problems then go from there. the original post had no error log and very little information. so to resolve problems start with the basics & go from there. all everybody tried to do is offer solutions. nothing more nothing less.

you wrong there buddy.... i posted to this thread after a log was produced, and then and only then did i take the time to look through the log and figure out what was going.
if you go back to page 1, a quarter of the way down, the log is there.
you and semid13 were the ones from the get go blaming the media.
which, i know poses a problem, but not once did the original poster state what media was used, so you only assumed....
well, you know what assume means....
anyway, i aint here to start problems... i am better then that, but always alway ask members who have these sorst of problems questions first before making your own assumptions...

@gear - i posted BEFORE the log, and the ORIGINAL post by lena had very little info in it and i quote "what discs are you using?" was my original question. as like i previously said bad media is a big problem when people get burning errors. i was assuming nothing but just asking what brand of media so as we can either see if that is the problem or rule it out.

i dont think ANYONE is on here to cause problems but to help resolve problems. this forum has got way out of hand & i cannot understand why?? all people WERE trying to do is offer lena a solution
