Just got my first spindle of TY's and out of about 20 so far I have had to trash about close to 50% so far. I am using an ext. BQ 1655, AnyDVD with Clone DVD. The error message I am getting right after it starts the burn is "media write error or bad disk" I am burning at 4x or 6x with same results. The only other thing that I think could be causing it is that I just recently installed Nero 7 with InCd. Could this program be conflicting with the new update of AnyDVD or Clone? Also, my firmware is current. I never had this problem before now. I don't want to coaster anymore TY's if they are so good. I was using Fuji's prior to TY's with no complaints. By the way, does Fuji even make a inkjet printable +R?

InCD is a packet writing prog that could cause problems. Go ahead and uninstall in it - it should be listed in your add/remove programs in windows. Then download from Nero the InCD clean tool to remove all traces. Now try again.
Where did you get the TY's? Are they genuine? You can tell by the code etched around the hub. Should be GGXXXX, GDXXXXX, GHXXXXX - can be quite hard to see! If you picked up Fuji made in Japan they were probably made by TY. I have not seen any printable Fuji's yet so don;t know if they have any. I use TY's from supermediastore.com 95% of the time and rarely have a problem.
Have you tried any other prog to burn with?
I got my TY's from supemedia. I uninstalled InCD and it helped some but I just got another coaster. I will try and get the cleaner from Nero and see if that takes care of it thanks. I use to use DVDxCopy but it recently went to the scape heap. AnyDVD and Clone is it for me now.

Supermediastore sells genuine ty's just check the hub on the back of the disc. TY's is excellent media. So there may be something else going on here. Sometimes error messages are pretty generic and can mean several things.
I would also make sure you are in DMA mode and not PIO mode. Here's a link if needed:
