hey,

I have CloneDVD and I have burned quite a few movies with it without any problems except for 2 things:

"Malibu's Most Wanted" says it can not burn because it is copy protected. So do I need AnyDVD to burn it? However, I can't run the AnyDVD program on my computer (HP a1226n). I get an "NSIS Error" saying "Installer Verification failed."

So how can I get AnyDVD or what other program could I use if this one won't download? And do I need it in the first place?

Another problem I had was with a dvd that CloneDVD showed as being well under the 4483 MB limit. But after it copies and goes to the Burn step, it says the file is too large. I don't understand why.

Thanks for any info.

Hi salliemae, welcome to AfterDawn.com

In order to make backups using Clone DVD2 you need AnyDVD working in the background to remove the CSS protection on-the-fly.

Go to www.Slysoft.com and download the AnyDVD trial.

As for the size problem, you might be running FAT32. FAT32 only allows any single file to be up to 4000Mb. I know you're not burning ISO's here, but this will set you up good, not only you'll be able to handle bigger files in the future but it will smooth your pc up a bit.

Here, follow these steps and change it to NTFS:

First, back up your data. The conversion process almost always works flawlessly, but there is no point in taking the risk.
Click the <Start> button.
Click <Run>.
Enter "cmd" into the text field labeled "Open".
Click the <OK> button.
Enter the command "vol c:" to find the volume label for the C: partition.
Enter the command "convert c: /fs:ntfs" to convert the C: partition from FAT32 to NTFS.
When prompted, enter the volume label for the partition

Oh, and try to keep the film within 4300Mb to prevent burning too close to the edge.

Good Luck!

Thanks a lot,

But now the problem is I can't download AnyDVD.

I get an NSIS Error.

It says: "Installer Verication failed.

This could be the result of an incomplete download, a failing disk, or (possibly) corruption to a virus.

You can try to inforce an install using the /NCRC command line switch (but it is NOT recommend)"

Where do I go from here?

Is that from the official site? hummm...
Did you scan it with your antivirus?
Try getting it from a torrent site like isohunt or domething. they are normally quite good, very complete.

Do a scan for viruses as was said but u can also try installing DVD43 it does wat AnyDVD does and its for free not as good as AnyDVD but still gets the job done.
