I am glad to tell you, that I found a solution for the "Out of memory" problem when copying RipGuard protected discs (full backup) with DVDShrink and Nero Recode today.
This means, that the next AnyDVD version will have the fix you have been waiting for. And it will have another nice surprise as well: A "copy to harddisk" button, which will not only copy the files from the DVD to your harddisk, but also reconstruct broken .ifo files by scanning-while-copying the .vob files. This option can be used as an emergency for discs which cannot be copied otherwise.
Sounds like an update will soon be out to make Shrink People happy..:-)

It's not worth it to update for Region 1 yet.

So Should we go with the new 5.9.0.0 beta over this update?

Right now I plan on waiting to install the new update until it comes out on the slysoft site. Really need to read some more feedback on how this new ver. works out. They have some really new options in it.

There's a 5.9? I'm on the 5841 and have no complaints.

I always wait when it's Beta. Unless there is some real need for trying a Beta version. I prefer to wait till the bugs are out.

It's working well for me as present so I will wait for the final version rather than the beta as well. It is usually only a few days, and if it ain't broke...

Hi Guys.Well I really rate AnyDVD with CloneDVD, but recently im a tadge concerned with the latest update to AnyDVD 5841.As im using the previous version, im asked if i want to update to 5841, and by clicking yes im taken to the slysoft download site where i download said update, and then wham....my mcafee av cuts in telling me that the exe file is infected with a trojan 'generic dropper.i'....and the only course of action is to delete the update. What the hell is going on???? any replies welcome

thanks

Can U shut down Mcafee and load it?
If not ,you might just go striaght up to the 5900 beta.
Im using that and it works fine for me.

hi ericst....ill try that but im sure when i scan itll pick itup.I need to know what this trojan is though!!The mcafee help files dont help much cos there seems to be loads of variations of it with differant payloads....seems old though cos it is was first 'available' in 2003.But i think that the beta sounds an idea.Nice one!!

if i was ye i would not believe mcafee on the virus (trojan) report..
if that was so,we all who use anydvd would be dead in the water..
note:i quit using mcafee for two reasons, false reports, and the only time i got a virus was using mcafee....

I have McAfee Anti-Virus version 10. 2006. I see no issues with it & AnyDVD at all. Curious. In fact, McAfee has never reported anything about AnyDVD. I have installed Many Updates too.(AnyDVD)
