Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi
Game Region (NTSC)
Media Make Not Sure
Media ID Fujifilm DVD+R
Disc Max Speed 16x
Speed of Burning 2.4x
PS2 Modification (Swap Magic 3.6 and fliptop lid
PS2 Version Version 14
Game acquired (Original disc)
Rebuilded (No)
Rebuilding Software
Burning Software Nero 7 Premium.

When I copy the disc in Nero. I select COPY ENTIRE DVD. It copies it successfully and when I load up Swap Magic and then it asks me to load program, I put it in and then it says Invalid Ps2 Disc. I tried DVD Decryptor and Alcohol 120% and got the same results. I am using Fujifilm DVD+R's now I also tried using another media called Matrix DVD-R, both came out the same. I dont know what to do anymore please help out. Thank you in advanced. If you would like to email directly my email is slipknotsico666@yahoo.com

@Bigleon What's the Media ID of the discs you're using?

@ILuvSocom 16x DVD's cause the PS2 laser some issues. Matrix DVD media is terrible, some of the worst on the planet. Get some quality 4x or 8x media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.

86. Q. Where can I find good deals on legit Taiyo Yuden's and Verbatim's?
A. http://www.supermediastore.com
Great List of Merchants locally, online, in the U.K., etc:
http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/buyerguides/buymedia.htm

91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...
Last but not least you can use DVD Info Pro: http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

I am not using Matrix anymore....I am now using Fujifilm DVD+R. But I also have a question for you. I ordered Swap Magic 3.6 from www.ps2cover.com but instead they sent me one Disc that says on it "Ultimate Collection". It wont boot up any of my backups, just keeps saying Invalid Ps2 Disc or something like that. SO..I dont know, I will pick up a Vebratim in the next couple of days but as to my burning process, which program should I use to burn the game. Thanks in advance.

Uh Oh. It sounds like they sent you the Ultimate Swap thing, which is a POS rip off of Swap Magic. It's a CD-ROM based boot disc, so you need to do a TOC refresh every time you need to boot a DVD-ROM game. That means that everytime you play a game, you have to first boot your Ultimate Swap disc, then Swap in an original DVD-ROM that's bigger than 700MB's, and then swap in your PS2 backup. You shouldn't neet to do that with CD-ROM games. If that's indeed what you have, you should send it back. It's crap.

Your right bro...it is a piece of shit. I got jerked what more can I say. Even though I tried setting it to DVD under Media setting....It still wont boot up my DVD backups. Only my CDr which is Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I dont know what to do man. I dont have enough money right now to get an actual Swap Magic 3.6, but if you could tell where I can get a legit one, that would be truly helpful and your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

All PAL games. It boots up and the screen jumps around and there is no color. All NTSC and Normal games work fine. I have a US slim PS2 and using Swap Magic

Did you try adjusting the video mode to PAL in Swap Magic?

yea, before i take out the swapmagic i change it to PAL like I would change it to NTSC when playing a japanese game. Even when i change it to PAL to reboot the Swap magic the same thing happens.

Try patching them to NTSC.

37. Q. I downloaded a PAL game, how do I convert it to NTSC?
A. Use Adrenaline patcher if it's an EA game: http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_utils_files.shtml#ADRenalin%20Patcher Note: I've been told this works for non EA games as well. The screen won't be perfectly centered, unless you have a modchip that forces video mode.
Or patch with PAL2NTSC patcher with Y fix for non EA games: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/121718

I am the keeper of time. I exist outside the boudaries of time-space. Mortal constraints such as life and death have no meaning to me. Lol I'll be on for awhile.

Tokijin...is there anyway to set up a Japanese game to spell out in English. You know how you go to Options on an NTSC USA game and choose the language. Do you know if there is a way to do that with a Japanese game. The game I am trying to play is Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3. Thanks in advance.

Well most Japanese games don't have the option for English, at least not any Japanese games I've played. Most Japanese games I have are for the PSX. It would depend on the game. I don't know if NH3 has an English option for it or not. I doubt it. There's rarely patches like that for PSX/PS2, the code is complex and the amount time and effort involved in translating a game is immense. Usually teams of people take months-years to do it. I know this isn't much help, but your best bet is to find an FAQ that translates the game script so you can follow along. NH3 seems to be pretty popular, there are a lot of posts about it. Here's a good place to start: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/929749.html

hmm....that would be very cool......but i dont think its possible cause of the code on the DVD or sumthing...only manufacturers can make it or sumthing....but i dunno....maybe we should ask Tokijin lol

No. You would need an original copy of Breaker Pro or a modchip.

ok, my question is sorta similar.

my friend has sm 2.0, if i make him a backup of sm 3.6 will it work?

obviously he will have to do double swap.

the reason he wants to do this is coz all his games work except king kong which works with my 3.6

thanx a lot
