Hi i recently bought the wifi max. I have set it all up with internet connection sharing and all that but when i am on the internet both on the PSP and the PC after a certain while i get disconnected and the computer says "do you wish to reconnect" and just freezes. If i then turn internet connection sharing off i can go on the internet on my PC and it never disconnects. I know this may be not strictly related to the wifi max but i just wondered if any of you had this problem. Any help appreciated.

Its All Down To How each of our PCs are set up we all have different settings different programs running.
and to be honest Wifi-MAX havnt thought about that.
the thing is ya can get a wireless set up for between £39 upwards cheapest bein a linksy i think i see it advertised in Argos.
with AOL customers just upgrade to AOL wireless and ya get the gear to go wireless and away ya go.
especially as there was a rumour that the wifi dongle bollox didnt work with the AOL setup.
as for my wifi max!
in the charity shop!

Hello all!

Well, this WifiMax is a total nightmare. I've been round and round in circles with it. If anyone could help I'd be more than appreciative. Otherwise I think I'll have to give up with this DS Wifi malarky.

I have a Toshiba Laptop with Windows XP. Am connected to internet via BlueYonder - Modem Motorola SB5101E. Trying to get my DS to connect

Have done everything that the Datel website tells me to do. The Wireless connection tells me that I'm connected - sent 151 received 151. I have asked the WifiMax to Obtain it's own IP and DNS automatically (I have done this manually but am getting nowhere).

Physical Address: 00-0E-8E-09-19-F9
IP Address: 169.254.41.210
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway:
DNS Server:
WINS Server:

Is what it has allocated it.

If I type this into my DS with the Default Gateway, I connect and then a yellow warning sign appears on my taskbar. Then failure. I have turned off all firewall settings.

Argghhh....this is a complete nightmare! You guys are my only hope.

Cheers!

God help me!

I purchased the wifi max for psp product about a year ago and it didnt come to my attention that you are able to access media online from the wifi max. The wifi max media kept saying to plug in my wifimax dongle when it was inserted. I unplugged the dongle and replugged it and still the same message came up. I uninstalled the wifi max and zydass and apache and all of the components. When i installed it a windows message came up saying that found new hardware. I installed the new hardware and an error message came up saying that "there was a problem installing this hardware. (ZD 1211B) EEE 802.11 B+G usb adapter. An error occured during the installation of the device. The system cannot find the file specified".
I CANT OPEN ZD and i cant connect my psp to wifimax and i can not see any connection in windows sayiing wireless connection. Can you please help me and tell me what to do. I have tried uninstalling it again and reinstalling it but still i have the same problem. I had my firewall turned off during installation. Please can you help AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
