Hey guys, I'm new and I need help. I was unfortunate to have bought the WiFi Max (because couldn't find a real Nintendo WiFi Connector) and now need help.

Your guides are awesome, good job. But none of them seem to help for a Nintendo Wii user. Anyone can provide a guide for it?

EDIT: I've managed to make a wireless network. But when I try to make it share with others, a message pops up:

"An error occured when the internet-connectionsharing was activating.

The Internet-connectionsharing can not be activated. A LAN-connection is already configurated with the IP-addres which is necessary for automatic IP-adressing."

^(OBS: Swedish computer. This above is poorly translated, but I hope you get it.)

Sup everyone,

On Saturday, I bought a Wifi Max hoping that I could surf the net and play online PSP games;........ but i haven't! I think I have followed everything on this forum but there is still no use. Everytime I make a connection and test it, it keeps on saying: "A connection error has occurred. The attempt to obtain the IP address timed out", and i have to keep repair my connection so that it can find the IP. I've checked if my LAN is set to Internet Connection Sharing and it is, but still no use. So I uninstalled and then reinstalled it again and got my connection made on my PSP but it still says that the internet connection failed, and a few times it has caused my computer to go black and then with a blue screen saying that i have to shut down.

Soz to bug you but can anybody help me, I'll do anything.

Thx

i'm having same problem too....it says limited or no connection...wont let me play games, but lets me surf the web. i dont think firewall is causing problem, my origional internet connection doesnt have a sharing option however the wireless connection does. i tried this and the problem persists with the added annoyance on "this IP is in conflict with another system" or something. Please help...

Cheers

YEAH!!!!!

After 2 days of constant trying i finally got my PSP on the internet!! I manually wrote the IP address and DNS keys and the connection succeeded!

This forum really helped me even though I got no replies, but its cool the info was already there. Now I can surf the net and play PSP online.

Thanks again!

Hey gturnip,

Double check and right-click your internet connection on the bottom-right side of your screen (nxt to the clock) and click "Network Connections". Then right-click your connection again and go to properties, when you get to properties go to the advanced tab and it should have a "Internet Connection Sharing" heading. If there is then allow it. After that go to page 6 on this forum and go to the second post which is from PieceFull. Create a new connection on your PSP and manually input the numbers that he posted exactly as its shown and it should work.

Hi guys, max media says my connection is working. i still get ip times out thing. i went to my connection, my broadband nt and clicked shaRED so now my main connection is enabled and shared. my wireless connection is enabled and signal excellent. the first time i installed it, the ineternet worked, i even was on google then something happedned and it got fucked up. i went to page 6, after following amaorking suggestion on pierce, entered the ip, ect, tested connection and it worked. i was so fricking amazed that i didint get that message, ip timed out e.ct. but now when i connect to internet, i get dns conection failed. so i tested the connection again, and no probs, 100% excellent signal. any suggestion why this happens.

Right this is about the WiFi Max:

Yes its annoying to set up, but once you do it, its totally awesome!

Heres what your settings should be on it:

Bridge Adaptor:

On the WiFi Max media manager, go to the change my WiFi settings and on the bridge adaptor part, scroll down until a text comes up in blue, when it comes up click apply, set your channel to 4 also.

That should set most of it up automatically, but theres a setting you definately need.

P.s WiFi Max is good when it works, it can be annoying to set up though.

w4aqar,

I warned you before to read the forum rules and had you done so you'd have known that posting email addies isn't allowed!

MilkmanZ,

Let's have a look at the forum rules, there's a link to them in my sig ;)
