yeah they must realy b havein problem with thier servers im sure they will fix it soon since so many people use that site and its so big

naw just the one that says devhook with 2.71 the rest are just add on's u might wanna try the bleach icon/gameboot its nice

devhook 4.6 with 2.71 will allow you to play iso's and emulate 2.71 firmware as for the bleach add on its only to customize the background the devhook icon and the way the game starts up

Hi there. I too have recently downgraded and devhook'd and everything is working great! The one problem I have is that when I start my psp up it say's I have to update software and things like the wallpaper etc are changed from the one I selected. Is this just the way it go's? (Its a tiny price to pay compared to the rewards!) Or, is there anythig I have done wrong? Many Thanks! :0)

the reason its askin you to update your softwear ir because you may have a disk in the psp wich requires a higher firm ware then 1.5 but as you know all u need to do is launch devhook and you will be able to play that umd
and 1.5 dosent give u the wallpaper option but you can use app's like pspersonalize in order to put your own wallpaper its just every month the wallpaper will change on its own to by pas this just chang the month to the pic you want its that ez

i would say custom firmware thats the most important investement you can get that way if you brick your psp you can reflash every thing back and keep enjoying your psp with out fearin a brick
plus it has auto usb letin u watch movies play music n stuff while adding files to your memory stick
then u can launch devhook right away and stuff like that its great ig u dont have it go get it!!!

I have read most of the posts regarding downgrading but I'm still confused about a few things. I'm new to the PSP stuff, but I've done other modding before. I just don't want to mess up my PSP.
1. I'm running firmware 2.5 currently
2. I have a 32MB memory stick duo
3. I want to be able to play .iso files on my PSP
Question 1: If I downgrade, which is the most basic step by step guide?
Question 2: If I downgrade, what could go wrong and if it happens will my PSP be ruined?
Question 3: Is my 32MB memory stick big enough to perform the downgrade?
Question 4: How long does the downgrade take?
If someone could please answer these questions, I would be forever grateful, I'm really new to PSP stuff and I'm nervous it'll ruin my PSP that I just got! Thanks in advance guys!!

1.they have a easy downgrader for the 2.5 wich installs every thing for you and come with on screen and voice directions all u will need to make it work is a 2.0 version of gta lbc if not you can upgrade to 2.71 wich also has an easy downgrader and dosent need the gta game
2.one thing that can go wrong is you might brick your psp but if you follow the directions that will be highly unlickly
3.and a 32mb should be able to hold the downgrade files just make sure you reformate it to have a clean memory stick
4.the downgrade takes not more then about 1-2 minute's
and yeah make sure you dont have a TA-082 motherboard look at this link to see if you do

ok, thanks. a few more questions if you would. I checked, I don't have a TA-082 board. There's nothing written inside when I opened the UMD door thing.
I don't have the GTA game, so I would upgrade to 2.71 first? Where can I get the easy downgrader for 2.71, can you provide me with a link?
You mention that I could brick my PSP. What does Brick mean?
After I downgrade, will it stop me from playing any bought games?

yes upgrade to 2.71.

it can brick but minimum chance nothing to worry about if u do everyting exactly. A brick is a term used when the psp's mobo gets fried basically causing the psp to turn on but no picture as the mobo is dead.
When u downgrade it you can still play bought games by insatlling devhook (provided link ^^)

If I downgrade can I upgrade back?
Do you know how the brick occurs? How often does it happen to people?
Is devhook easy to install as well?
Once downgraded I'll be able to play my .iso games?

yes u can upgrade but trust me u wont want to and devhook also has an installer now
and yes you will be able to play iso's but u will need a bigger memory card the 32mb a 1gb is good 2gb and up is perfect or u can use your usb
just make sure u dont have a TA-082 mb and you will be good most people brick by turnin of the psp durnin downgrade or upgrade so make sure u neva do that
