I have the UNLEASH X dashboard on my XBOX. I accidentally deleted the new Halo 2 maps and I want to get them back on my XBOX. How do I do this?

You are going to have to put in halo2 and sign into live and reinstall the map packs

Step 9: This is a KEY step! Now that the installer has loaded, go to 'CREATE MS BACKUP'. This is incase you want to unmod your Xbox for any reason/technical reason.
... THE SOFTMOD INSTALLER WONT LET YOU INSTALL THE SOFTMOD AS WELL IF U DONT DO THIS .... SO THE PROPER THING TO DO TO INSTALL SOFTMOD IS create MS BACKUP create EEPROM BACKUP... then it will let you pass requirements... from : NKNAVE AND GUS738

DO NOT USE THIS MOD IF YOU HAVE A PAL XBOX
Krayzie's Ndure softmod installer will do you just fine. Even if you select the PAL options, the SID mod will leave you with a NTSC dashboard, and you'll have to uninstall if you do not have a compatible TV.
Just a word of warning.

you have to find hacked map filez and patch them to the original maps.
you need:
1.ppf-omatic
2.ppf's(pre patched filez)
you need to use ppf omatic to apply patches to original maps!
you also need to have you xbox ftp to ur comp. then you go to your xbox folders on your ftp and click e: then tdata then you will see original maps you copy the ones you ppf'd then rewrite the maps!

Hi there, after fixing a friends softmodded xbox,it kept saying it was updating from live but live wasn't responding. I've found that the ms backup has been modded so sid4 can't be put on it.
As his xbox still boots games with no dash(error 13 when booted no game), would using a live game reinstall the dash to then make an original backup work.
If not can I ftp my ms backup onto it to create an original backup or delete files from his modded backup to do the same.
I'm obviosly being cautious as I don't want to mess it up after getting it up and running.

i have my xbox modded so i can play in custom games and got banned from matchmaking with that account. i have another account on my 360 but how can i tranfer it to my regular xbox so i can play matchmaking on my reg. box?

there is no way to guarentee host w.o bridging but there are two ways that I know of to help.
1. Get host boxes - this means that you made the GAME, you are not joining someone elses. You can tell you have host boxes when there are no yellow "Matched Player" boxes when it goes into the finding players step. Also, be the one that made the party, not just party leader, when you went into matchmaking.
2. Pull out your mic before game starts, not sure if it works ive just heard about it.

for all them people who get a black screen with a orange light it may be because you are using a platium version of teh game they fix the error in the game to install the softmod in these and also in the classics to (if the made em that) as well if ya got the normal 1(non platium nor classic) then it may be the ar card hope this helps ya out

did you softmod ur xbox using sid kinave?
if so did you choose the PAL file to drag to the mem card?
if not then you probably used the NTSC file uninstall softmod then redo with PAL file!
this should fix prob!

yes I did use the PAL version. I read above that no matter what you do it will be black and white on all PAL consoles. Would a scart lead make it colour? Also, the light on the xbox comes out red/orange colour
