hmm those guys that helped out on hq werent much help... did hellblazer appear? never mind hellblazer did appear!

ok, i'm still having a btch of a time with my xbox. basically, i tried to FTP my xbox BEFORE softmodding, and ever since it won't go on to regular internet, saying that it has a DNS error all the time. i can get some of my scripts from XBMX to get online, but everything else there's nothing, even when hooked up directly to internet connection. i don't know, is there a fail safe built into the xbox against FTP? i've tried everything, so u guys are my last hope.

you cannot FTP an xbox if its never been softmoded , unless you mean you were ftping while you were acessing linux , are you just having issues w/ xbl? then just change your settings > network > static to DHCP and that should fix MOST problems.....besides that theirs firewalls , settings , cables damged/broken and or xbox network adapter broken... alot of diffrent things

i've checked everything, and it only stopped working after i tried to FTP it. and no, i just tried it before doing anything. if not for being so cool, this xbox would really piss me off!!!!

- not the latest ms dashbaord
- your game saves are getting currpted by that mem card , try nother 1
- you have the platinum edition of the game

How would i update the dashboard i tried clicking xbox live when i had the ethernet unplugged from the internet with halo2, Far Cry instincts Evolution, and Battlefield2... Do i need a older game or something?

i have the software, but im not using the AR mem card. i made my own xbox to usb adapter and i use a flash drive. i have been successful in transfering other game saves using another program from my pc to my xbox, but that program unfortunetly wont work with these game saves. but niether will AR work. for some reason it cant find my flash drive, i would think that the AR program would just see the AR mem card and my flash drives as the same thing, but i guess it doesnt. i formatted it with the xbox and tried to install a driver from AR's webstie but nothings working. i know this is a tad bit off topic, but does anyone know what i should do in order to get this to work? any help would be greatly appreciated, ive been looking forward to installing linux ever since i got my xbox, and it sucked when i found out that my dashboard is version 5960, but this looks like my dashboard version doesnt matter.

ok hoply ill be soft moding to day or sometime this week
i looked on you tube at a xbox being softmoded
looks easy and fast
note to all
action reply is bloody hard to find in shops now
good luck in finding or buy it from there site
game shark can be used
but you need nto buy a memory card
better use the action reply
now all i got to do is get my dirty hands on one of these games
blockbuster here i come

ok, i'm getting really pissed off right now. in xboxhdm it keeps saying my HDD is frozen, and to go into BIOS to turn off auto-detection. problem is, no such option exists in my comps BIOS. wtf is going on?

you go back into the sid installer with splinter cell, mechassualt, or 007 and click "uninstall mod". pretty striaght forward.

onthedge : it doesnt nessary have to say " auto detect off" usualy its also primary drive off or anyting that disables the primary drive...
@ sepultra why would you want to uninstall it ? lol if you want to play xbl then just remod it with dual boot = retail , but like another member said , pop game in hit unisntall softmod and voila back to normal...
jego : if the xbox is unmodded then just plug the cable and hit the update or try to connect to xbl from there it should update it , it should be the latest or newest games... OH and ONLY if your xbox never been modded otherwise you can get ban ....
but most in likely its your mem card , try borrow another mem card..
osiris010 : if its giving you a hard time then just buy the ar kit ,

I downloaded this pak but, when I try dragging the file from the folder in which I downloaded to over to the memory card area of the A/R it gives me an error message which says "This is not a valid xbox save" Did anyone else run into this problem or am I doing something wrong ??

@ Ron1212 : when you d/l it transfer both of the saves how they come conpressed, if they are .rar then leave it as .rar or the same boat if its .zipped...
this is your issue
