And when it does work i get the message that its unable to load run linux and all the stats are unknow like diffuclty level controls

srry dont have aim , do you have the platinum edition of the disc? oh and do not have mutiple linux on your xbox hard drive , ppl only have issues transfering when ever its not .rar or .zipped and it hsould be to 2 files ... linux laucher and game save point.... both .rar and transfering to mem card section

lol, "viola". anyways, still can't find anything to try out in the BIOS. i tried "disable mastering on IDE", i tried turning off "Primary IDE". but then it just says there is no HDD on the channel in xboxhdm. btw, u have email right gus738? ok, see if u can either email me (should be under member info) or tell me ur email, i'll send some pics of the BIOS menu so u can see what i'm missing here. ok, here's a bigger question: could i even change the xbox BIOS to something else so it would take an unlocked HDD?

u can't use any platinum hits, if nothing else look up splinter cell or 007 AUF. i used splinter cell and it worked like a charm. if u use this, i can give u a hand softmodding ur box. o, another note, google the number on the inside ring of the game disc, and see if anything comes up to say if it will work or not. and can someone plz help me here with my HDD!?

onthedge : sure your xbox can run w/out being locked and the answer to that is
modchip
go to a friends pc or any other pc if that one is giving you an issue
@ at the guy that the mech assult isnt working , try another game or try another mem card what is your ms dash? version?? its under settings system info and wait for the dash , the kernal does not matter

I can't speak for the other two platnium hits games, but my SLC platnium hits worked like a charm.

Instead of downloading files from the site, simply get them off your Online community saves inside the Action replay program. Then you get the best installer (sid 4.5) and You can get your mecchassualt game save there too I'm pretty sure.

If they are Old ones and you don't have them backed up, then you're screwed. But if they are the new ones just get a multiplaer map pack and it reinstalls all the new ones.

Ok but how do i take mods of the maps cause the prob is is when i start the game it ether tells me i failed to load the map or it freezes on me after5 min of playing time

Hmmm. If it fails to load the map thats because you didn't resign it or some other nonsense like that. But if it freezes, then it may be that you're putting too many mods on it,
