I used the latest version on AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 and copied the DVD "Just Like Heaven". It completed and plays fine in my PC's DVD but when I take it to my DVD Player it says it cannot read the disk. Any answers for me?

My dvd player only plays DVD-R, not DVD+R. Check the specifications of your dvd player to find out what it plays.

That player sounds like it is a picky player. That is the classic No Disc Inserted error.

Dvd backups are more difficult to read whether they are plus or dash. Stand alone players may specify they can play plus/dash/both/or none. Some stand alone players may not specify playing plus/dash/ both/or none, but can play them. Very weird with the dvd backups. It's not like cd backups. Lots of variations between lasers of burners and players. It's all compatability between all those many lasers doing the reading and writing.

Your DVD-RW drive plays that backup ok. It should, and it should look near original in quality.

Now it is the time for the stand alone players because those are the main drives you'll be viewing those backups on. Lots of factors:

Switch format,to the opposite.
Media quality- crap media can give those picky players fits.
Burn speed. 4x is par.
Burner quality. I've used 6 different dvd drives and notice how all my stand alone react to them. Burner quality is the key.
Burn program.
And a whole lot more.

Post back the answers to these questions and we may be able to get you on your way. Lots of stuff we can do to get rid of those no disc inserted errors:

What is the brand name/format/and speed rate of your blank media?
How fast did you burn them?
What is the brand name and model# of your DVD-RW drive?
What is the firmware version of that DVD-RW drive?
What dvd programs are you using for your backups.

Quick fix, switch format, but make sure it is quality stuff.
Next option if that fails: Booktype them, but that depends on what burner drive you have.
