@ddp
I fixed it by my presence in the thread, nothing more, nothing less...just my special way of giving something back to the AD community. To everyone else...t'wernt nothin.

wel this is a weird one for me,dont know if it happens to anyone else,but it seems to happen on a regular basis.
if i go to a particular section,say ps2 dvd backup,and look down the list of threads,the name of the last poster,is not who i see when i open up the thread
for example
this is what i see now
note the name of the last poster is ace1uk
yet when i open it,his post is not there,as shown here
it does seem to correct itself after a while though

That usually happens when a moderator moves or deletes a post or complete thread...maybe somebody was being naughty,in those forums it happens all the time...then again...I could be totally wrong!

hursty: Does it happen when you're logged in or just when you're logged out? As the forums use a cache system we introduced in June for non-logged-in users that tends to cause this type of issues occassionally (something I've spent quite decent amount of time lately to try to resolve the problem, but as the site is spread on several web servers, each having their own cache, etc I haven't found "ultimate solution" yet).
But if it happens even when you're logged in, it might be what others said -- mod has removed a post.

hursty: I'm afraid, yes. It shouldn't, but seems to be quite common. I need to look into cache flushing process for threads, to understand why forum room index pages get "flushed", while threads don't.

i dont have that problem so its probaly nothink wrong with the afterdawn servers,
if you want try using a diffrent internet explorer.
i use Firefox and i think its great it never lets me down (unlike the official microsoft internet explorer) and it is so easy to install plugins est.
if you use Firefox the problem may sort itself out, do you have any trouble with any other websites?

That's not a problem with the site,That is lethal's signature. If you go to any other of Lethal_B's post you will see the same.

Yeah, that happens when you forget to close the [ img ] tags appropriately. When we'll update the UBB parsing next time, we'll try to implement a system to detect unclosed tags as well, to get rid of this problem.

@glitchzoo
I don't think dRD can edit is signature because that would be going into Lethal's personal options. I think in the beginning of the site the template was very different as I saw on a website where you can type in the website name and it will show what it looked like early in the site's history, but I could be wrong. Also Lethal fixed his sig :D

Sig fixed. I added a quote to my sig temoporarily then removed it, accidentally deleting part of the *img* tag & leaving the end of the *quote* tag.
