You have plenty of memory to run your processes. I have 2g and only use 20% of it.
Check your startup and see just what is loading when you boot your PC. Go to your start then run and type in msconfig then choose the startup tab and see just what is checked and loading at start. Just hit cancel to get out of it.

Man there's alot of stuff @ startup. I've noticed that my PC has been taking longer to start up, & to get online at first.
Everytime I just try to uncheck stuff & restart, I keep getting these error messages. Then I'll just restore everything again.
Also I don't know what to delete, because most of it is so abbreviated.
Not sure what is what.........

Kind of hard to tell you what to load at startup, every computer is different. Drivers for hardware always need to be loaded, i.e. sound, video, mouse or wireless internet connections. However, a lot of programs will put things to startup in there, such as qtask which is quicktime this is not necessary to start with the computer, nor adobe, itunes or microsoft office. As stated it is what your computer has on it. You can use google to check out what the extensions are what they do and what is necessary and what is not. I load very little at startup it makes for a faster starup and less processes running.

i just bought my boys chicken little and stuart little3. both are sony products. i had a rought time backing up chicken little i couldnt do it with CloneDVD had to use dvdfab decrypter then vobblanker the CloneDVD. i have heard others say that you should wait a couple weeks to back up these newer movies cause AnyDVD or CloneDVD hasnt updated its system for newer protections. is this what happend here with these two movies? chicken little i thinks burnt perfect but stuart little 3 might have a little skip in it.

In reference to Chicken Little and Stuart Little 3, I was able to do the whole movie with CloneDVD2 with AnyDVD in the background. Make sure that you have the most recent versions of the software.

I tried copying the movie "The Cave" with DVD Shrink and clonedvd2.
I could not copy the movie with either program. With clonedvd2 it would tell me that there was not any recordable media, with shrink it gave me a different error. Both programs said there was no encryption. Anyone have a clue on this one?
Thanks!

i guess maybe you were wanting me to see the rip dvd to hd? I saw it. I have already sent the disk back, so I can not try that. I will get the movie again and try it. Have you seen The Cave? I like it, I think mainly though because of the diving in the caves.

I have yet to find a movie that can not be backed up with CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD in the background. If you regularly backup movies, this is the best money you could ever spend.
Oh Oh is right on by the way.
If I can learn here so can you.

CloneDVD and AnyDVD both have killed all the films that you have mentioned. I have yet to see a DVD that was not defective which could not be backed up with these two programs.

arnie i did do that right clicked the fox and i do not have that option. i must have a old version of AnyDVD. but then again i am still useing the trial version also, i have 9 days left on the trial. that might explain my problems with these two movies. without purchaseing AnyDVD right now how would i get a update for the trial version. i dont want to purchase something that is giving me these problems. im sure im not useing bad media.(useing 8x verbatim).i did about 15 mvies this weekend and only these 2 have caused me problems.chicken little and stuart little3.

You should be able to update your trial to the newest which is 5.9.4.1, this was released 2/24 so you should have this version.

Well after reading the newbie read this post, I went and updated my firmware for the drive. I had done this earlier in the week, but I guess it must have been an older update. So anyway I was able to make a backup of the film. It's playing now. I also downloaded the rec'd S/W. Pretty Cool. Thanks Again. Oh Yea, it only took 10m:18s for clonedvd to do the task.
