Thanks for the link Jerry
I looked at how thedssguy "glued" two LNB's together. I already have two LNB's that look exactly like that.
In the setup menu i checked to see what Sats I am dialed into. All I can see is ekostar 7 & 8.6. What Sat is BEV on
Thanks

Crowbar91, I haven't heard of that receiver, but if its programmed for DN as you say and you can point a dish antenna at a DN sat then it may work. Providing you can find a way to enter the keys.

@crowbar91, You can't just update that receiver with a bin file like FTA. If at all possible, you would need a card programmer to reprogram the card. I haven't done any card programming for several years and never on a BEV system so I don't know what exactly is needed. If you don't program the cards right, you can destroy the card. Replacement cards if you can find them are around $200. and the programmers around $50. Its sometimes cheaper just to get another FTA receiver.

Yes, another dish will get you BEV. Most receivers are shipped with a diseqc switch included along with the serial cable. The most common one will allow you to combine 4 sat inputs or LNBs into 1 receiver. Just aim the dish at bev, hook that LNB output into one of the switch inputs and you should be good to go. Don't forget to go into the receiver setup and assign the BEV LNB to the proper switch input location.

Hi dodger18, Here is the second link I set up for Keymaster. The original one quit working for some reason.
http://s19.quicksharing.com/v/8331208/keymaster2.0.zip.html
Your problem with the 2 receivers is something I read about before but have no idea why it does that. Does your LNB have 2 outputs or are you trying to use a splitter of some sort to get to both receivers. You can't use splitters to run 2 receivers. You have to run 2 cables right off the bottom of the LNB. If I find out anything else I will post it.

thanks for the speed reply jerry, i am running two cables separately from the LNB, I was told that the receiver sends off power to the LNB i dont know if the power is low because of the type of cable that was installs or if the receiver isnt toing its job, when two receivers or hooked up at the same time, power is sufficient. AND if i substitute even with an old, non working dave receiver, as a second connection, makes the pansat work, so i have narrowed it down to either the cable or the switch or the box, some narrowing

The receivers send power to the LNBs to make them work and select channels. Your problem could be in the LNB. I run dual output LNBs with only one receiver and it works well. Its a strange problem. I'll keep looking for an answer when I have some free time.

a) it could be your LNB. I am set up for 2 receivers, but my 2nd cable is just hanging empty for now, and the one hooked up is working fine.
However, you should try plugging the 2nd output with a terminator, just in case there is some noise traveling on your unused coax.
b) I learned a lot from this forum, many thanx for that.
c) I would like to do my first blind scan on my pansat 3500. If I do that, do I have to redo my favorites?
d)I heard the SD card can keep the EPG. Then why does it take several minutes to get it all the time I power it on? Do I need some setup to feed the EPG in to SD?
e)I would like to know what birds can I see in different locations. Is there some sort of a map, showing the coverage? and list with the channels for each?
