Rob1026 ,
What is the region code of the movie( should be on the back) as it is not matching the region code of the burner.
You might consider using DVDDecrypter and rip that disk to HD w/ AnyDVD running in the background. In DVDD Under Tools > Setting > General> make sure to remove the checkmark next to " Check for structure Protection". Also now go to CSS and make sure a check mark is next to "None" which is under CSS Cracking Method.
Sounds like that the burner has changed region on you and you need to make sure it is set correctly

What are the consequences of NOT unchecking those settings in DVD Decrypter? I have backed up many DVDs without the settings you mentioned and am wondering if I need to remake backups.

PHuwaldt,
Those setting are the settings that Slysoft recommends you use when you have AnyDVD help DVDDecrypter overcome the encryptions. If you have no problems w/ the DVD's that you ripped to HD you should be good to go.

That being an older movie, you probably don't need AnyDVD running, to do it. Have you tried doing the movie, with AnyDVD disabled?

Absolutely true JVC. Any DVD is a waste of time with this disc, it's probably what's screwing up the copy.

Why would AnyDVD care about what region a disc is coded for? It's supposed to remove region codes anyway. Strange message. I'd send that to slysoft and ask why it conflicts with a movie that Decrypter can handle.

Quote: and i had done everything
all you said you did, was this:
Quote: i openend up shrink then anydvd
You hadn't said anything about what you had tried.
You may just have a bad pressing of the movie. As was said........with a movie that old, Shrink w/Nero (or whatever burning software you use), should handle it, by themselves.
