I know they're both similar programs, but does it really make a difference which one you use? Is any one better than the other? Does it better your chances to have both running at the same time?

my personal preference is AnyDVD, it is regulary updated to keep up with latest copy protection. it is a very good investment of $40.
running 2 programs at once to do the same thing can cause them to conflict & stop you backing up your discs, so really is not recommended.

I back AnyDVD.
Makes backing up even the most troubling movies mentioned on this forum very easy.

I use AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 for the majority of my rips. They are excellent programs. As stated before, only have one decryption program running. Having two open not only doesnt help, it can cause failures. I ran into a problem backing up Spirited Away when i was using DVD43 and DVD Shrink at the same time.

Like everyone else I give my vote to AnyDVD.
IMHO this is the best combo for backing up DVD's
1. DVD Fab Decrypter
2. DVD Shrink
3. CloneDVD 2
4. AnyDVD
I have never gone wrong withthis combo.
