Are you getting CRC errors, if so try cleaning your disk or take it back for another original. There is no special protection on this disk, I backed it up with the old 321 Xcopy and that program has been out of business for quite sometime.
Use AnyDVD with CloneDVD and see if you run into the same problem. Just use the link in my sig to download CloneDVD it is not free but you do get a 21 free day trial.
adding on from garmoon's advice you have to set up DVD Decrypter to run properly with AnyDVD so there will be no conflicts, heres how.
Goto tools, settings, I/O and check ElbyCDIO is selected.
Goto tools, settings, CSS under CSS cracking method, choose none.
I also do this Tools, settings, General, check for structure protection, untick. I also untick remove macrovision protection.
