Oooops!!
Erm sort of fixed my problem of burning the dvd!!
It seems that the dvd drive in my desktop and laptop are not actually Dual Layer drives, even though when typing in the model number on the net it comes up as a dual layer drive!
Took my old Lite On drive out of my old desktop which has DL on the front, and as Im typing its burning!!
Read somewhere, dont know if it was on this forum, but some one said if its not got DL on the front of the burner then its probably not a DL burner, in my case that was right!!

not necessarily, you'll wanna open the .dvd file w/ a text editor to make sure.......some methods of ripping games put the files in 001 002, etc format...so, to make sure, open the .dvd file w/ a text editor...if you see a list of files, then they aren't rars.

what type of rips are like that?
im not questioning what you are sayign id jsut like to find out thats all,
having never come across one liek that myself.

well, for example, if you take a backup and make a backup of it in either clonecd or imgburn (forget which one) it'll come out like that. I've also had downloads that were that way.

true, such is 95% of everything posted on usenet...but, you can still end up w/ a rip like I stated...after extracting you could end up w/ a .dvd file (cue), and an iso or a series of .00# files, regardless, you always wanna burn the rls w/ the .dvd (cue) file.

Gehx is correct clone cd will make files such as 000 001 002 etc.
And inspite of what edited by ddp I mean stang says some of the 360 gmaes are uploaded in that format but most are a single image file.
And stang of course there all rar files when you download them edited by ddp but you have to extract the rar files and will then end up with either a single image file with its .dvd or about 7 files 000/001/002/003/004/005/006/ etc.
And as to the lite-on drive make sure you have changed the booktype to dvd-rom for dual layer discs in imgBurn or dvd info pro.
I use a lite-on and it works great so long as it is bit-set to dvd-rom but not at all if its not.

Ahhh this might be why I got unrecognised disc then!! might look into that tomorrow.

Depends what tools you used, did you convert it to NME Using Nme Associator? Also you should be using Verbatim +R dl to burn them
Use imgburn to burn your dvd at 2x max no more.

So is this how it's done?
1. games are in .iso format
2. use NME Associator to convert the ISOs
3. use CloneCD (or imgburn) and burn them on a Verbatim +R DL for no more than 2x
Also, I couldn't find the NME program.

Havnt seen a new firmware for samsung in a while.
I aint being pushy or anything im happy with mine as it is.
But has anyone heard of a new firmware coming anytime soon?

I followed the tutorial, and it burned successfully, the game I am talking about is SKATE. When I load it in the XBOX it shows the game, but tells me I must apply and update before I can play it. So, will this update *bleep* with my patched drive firmware? Or is it just an update for live? It is not my xbox, so I don't want to mess it up.
Please let me know!
