you need to flash the devhook files to your psp.
go into devhook and drop down to "flash install", then select "install configfile to flash1."
hope that helps.
this devhook-all-in-one-where-everyone-asks-questions-and-nobody-gets-answers-because-so-many-questions-are-being-asked-and-no-one-can-find-their-original-question forum thread is stupid.

When you flash to your psp there is allways a risk. But if done carfully, there should be no problem. Many other people have done it sucessfully, and devhook does it right. Plug you PSP into the power source and don't drop it or anything like that. Just be careful and everything will go fine. There is another way to do it though, withought flashing. Go here:

If you already have Devhook files flashed to your PSP, be sure to remove those first before you flash the new ones.

i installed according to the link you gave.
and it still didnt work.
i tried flashing anyway and still no luck.
ive seroiusly tried 20 diferent ways of doing it about 50 times!
and still no luck!
im guessing it could be my memory card????
but it works fine it just wont let devhook start the emulation...
EDIT:
I have got it working... but its not a very good way....but its a way to deal with it for the time being.
I installed devhook on my 4GB memorystick duo and my 32MB memory stick duo that came with the psp.
I put in the 32MB stick and load devhook from there and emulate 3.02 then when im in the XMB menu i switch to my 4GB memorystick with my backed up game ISOs. and load them from there.
Ive done it with killzone now and it seems to be working fine..
This is only a temporary solution and a very annoying inconvenient one.
But it works i guess which is the main thing.......

Copy the Devhook files to your 4GB stick so you don't have to swap all of the time.

You must not be copying all of the folders.
Makesure you copy the dh folder, the fbm folder, and the PSP/GAME/_SCE_DH051BETA & %_SCE_DH051BETA folders.

Anthdah-i have nearly every iso going and they all work with devhook 46 you only need dev51 for metal gear opps and smackdown raw 2007 and all new games that will come out next year.so if i was you i would install dev hook 46 which i find brilliant
i have posted this next question before but still have not got a reply. For the above 2 games i was going to install dev 51 on to my 2gig memory card am i right in thinking i can do this and run my other isos on dev 46 which i will keep on my 4gig card and just swap cards depending on what firmware the games are.Or do you actually have to do something with the psp.All this flashing is making me worry. My psp is 1.5 firmware

I'm not sure. The only recommendation I can give you is to try:
Dated: 11th December 2006 - All-in-One Package by Zephyrus
In that package, he has the XO button files. Try his, see if that helps. If it doesn't work, atleast you tried 2 different versions? worth a shot I guess.

i'm actually having some wierd issues now as well. I used to have devhook 4.6 and worked perfectly. I decided to upgrade to the new version. It's wierd because once I load the .cso file it says it's going to reboot in dev hook mode, but just turns off. I'm running a version 1.5 fw. any ideas?
p.s. - i removed any flashes before install, and then did a flash install.

I had that exact problem when I first put Devhook 51. I just reinstalled it but used the version from Entralis here
My problem now is that the psp shuts down when I exit a game?
Any ideas any one?

ive used soo many different versions. im in the midst of trying one now, if it doesnt work, i will try entralis'. i hear of some ppl having that problem you are with it exiting. i heard there is a fix.
IDK if this will work or not, but I found this online. Try and it and let me know:
Quote: DevHook v0.51 FW 2.81-3.02 Exit Crash Fix For PSP
Why devhook crashes when exiting game in 2.81-3.02 mode...
Well I finally figured out why devhook crashes in some peoples psp's when emulating firmware greater than 2.71 & exiting a game or devhook.
I was looking in the sdk and I noticed that when you exit a game or quit devhook - devhook looks in the psp GAME folder for a folder called DEVHOOK, then it looks in that folder for the eboot launcher.
If you don't have your launcher in PSP/GAME/DEVHOOK/eboot.pbp when you exit a game or devhook - it will be prone to crashing.
If using 2.71 sec, make sure you go to advanced and set it to use the 1.50 kernel.
Other than that devhook should now work fine.

You can run Devhook .46 and .51 on the same memory stick. You can install Devhook .51 without flashing anything and you don't have to flash with devhook.46.

There already is an eboot that'll do it for you. Check it out here:
http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-homebrew-and-...-v20-81061.html
Or you can just install it yourself.

True.
But i realy think that this is the buggiest version of devhook ever released. i dont think ive seen so many problems!
I think im going to go back to dev hook 46 and deal with old games untill they release something liver devhook .52 or anything without so much bugs.
