Well, good for you guys. I would rather work on the script than anything else. I made a few games before (2d platformers) and they made me lose weight during development. I hate making games (programming, modeling etc.) Though i shouldn't really speak too soon though, I did make the games when I was 14.... maybe I should get some training first lol
As for they pay - yeah, you'll be wiping your ass with money (or at least you should be)

do you guys think their should be some type of surrender system? Like if the police are after you and one of the cops say something like "freeze! put your hands in the air", then your given the option of surrendering as your character puts their hands in the air and you watch as they get taken into custody.

Now that would be a greta idea if they did. It never ocured to me before but now when I think about it that would be a greta idea.

You know, I thought of that idea a while back. Never spoke about it though. I personally think it's great especially when you have no weapons, no money (like at the beginning of the game) and you don't really feel like hiding, running or putting up a fight.

Yeah but that could also get annoying if they done it the wrong way. Just think about it every time you surrender you still loose money or they still kill you or something. Also taking hostages would be awseome dont you think?

Yeah like robbing them. But if you kill them you get money anyways.......But maby if you robb them you get more money like their credit card and their password lol.

Dosent have a name yet. It is still in the making right now they (meaning rockstar) refers to the "new gta" being GTA IV. The name wil change when R* releases new screen shots, the city it is going to be in and so on. But I can tell you one thing whatever city it is going to be name in that is going to be the name of the gta probably. Example if it were in detroit it would be called gta detroit.

they didnt do thet wit san andreas did they because part of san andreas is compton rite therefore it should have been called GTA compton

Holy crap..I just thought of something. Remember in vice city when you could dress up as a cop and walk right into a police station. What if you could dress up as a cop again only you could do police work while wearing the suit, oh man I would screw with people the whole day...hehehe I think I would make a croocked cop.

Yeah or dress up as doctor's and stuff and screw them up and make them have heartattack's and stuff like that. That would be really cool.

San andreas is still a city.

Well, the first GTA that came out for the ps2 was a number e.g. GTA3 and now the first gta for ps3 would be GTA4 (a number).

@Stefan001 Yeah I know that but lately they have been calling them by city's like vice citie and san andreas.

For the names they take real citys (parts) join them together somehow then make up a completely different name, even though san andreas is a real place eg Las Santos=Compton, Las Ventures=Las Vegas, and the other place was based on San Francisco.
So if the do base it on detroit (example) they will rename it do something else then join it with other citys (renamed) and make up a name for the fusion.
If only R* were reading this thread, there are some really good ideas that i would really like to see implemented into this game.

they arnt real, just representations. liberty city=ney york city, vice city=miami.

That would be cool and original but hard to do. They would need a major city so if they were going to do it in Canada I would guess it would take plave in toronto or at leats that is what I think they would do if they were going to make a game like that.

game over guys, all the popular cities in north america are gone, done they made them. Time to move on (to other ciries/countries). And who wants boring cities.

What no there are still lot's of place's it can be in. Detroit for example would be cool.
