i have used AnyDVD for many months..never a problem...once i upgraded from 6.0.1.1 to 6.0.4.2 it is not working. when viewing the status tab is shows both my drives as "disabled" although when i click on the drives tab [selection] both drives are present with checks in each box. it keeps telling me warning no dvd drive present. i have tried removing my drives via the device manager and reboot hoping it will detect the drives again but no luck. ive also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 6.0.1.1 version but now i cant get it to work.
is there something i need to remove from the registry to allow me to go back to the earlier version.

If you have a legit key from slysoft that you paid for; then email them and let them know of your problem. They should be able to sort it. If you don't have a legit key then by all means buy one, it's worth it. I have never had a problem updating AnyDVD.

Do you have any yellow !'s or ?'s beside your drives in device manager or showing an error code in the "device status" window?

no i didnt have any errors in my device manager...after much uninstalling and reinstalling i finally got regclean and ran it...i installed again and it worked perfectly...i suggest anyone having problem updating to these newer versions of AnyDVD [6.0.4.2 and 6.0.4.5] uninstall and then use regclean..and reinstall...there must be something with these releases because i have been a loyal AnyDVD user for a long time and NEVER had an issue when i tried to upgrade.
thanks

You are right on the regclean, I had the same problem on installing the version prior to this one and running a regclean fixes it.
