I would leave it there, so next time you install, will be already registered.

you DONT need to remove the "registration information" just uninstall the programs now and then and do a clean reinstall

depends on whether the person un-installing has been a naughty boy,and got the version of AnyDVD from a unknown source.

just in case they have,i found this little app recently,and its pretty good for cleaning out unwanted registry entries

@hursty.
never seen you on this site before but your status obviously says you've been here for quite some time. But rest-assured I have a legit copy of both programs, however after fresh installs of both proggy's and my firmware upgrade, I am still getting incredibly slow speeds now. I wonder if my burner is "burning" its self out. I have even done system cleans, defrags and scans, but still slow.

my implication of getting apps from an unknown source wasnt directed at you,although it does appear that way,:)

anyways,what slow speeds are you getting,when burning?

have you tried uninstalling the drive and doing a fresh install?

here's another guide to put your drive back into DMA mode. And here is a good read about why a drive slips into PIO mode:

this should help.

yeah, checked the DMA mode and all appears well. Maybe I will try to unistall my drive and reinstall it. My drive is (was) a good drive but maybe I need a new one. After all, continuously burning close to 3-400 movies might end up causing the issue. It was a good drive.(memorex) great drive for me, would never touch that media though. Anyway thanks to all for responding, I always appreciate every ones help one this site and

@hursty, didn't want to seem like I was burning any bridges with ya, I hope my response didn't seem like an angry one. (by all means it wasn't)

I always like to post cause so many good people respond, thanks again.

my PX-716A was good for over 5 -6000 burns so 3 or 400 burns shouldn't kill the burner but being a memorex burner who knows.

are you keeping your system clean doing a disc cleanup and defragging often (at least once a week)

yeah, I did that too. Everything was great. Defraged twice in a row, no virus or spyware etc.. Unistalled, reinstalled software, firmware upgrade etc..

Next step: I think I might get a benq1650 or 1655. I heard pretty good stuff about them. Who knows...

You've definitely done alot more burns than I. I mean the burns used to take 20 min. Now, it's 4 hours.
