Can you buy the two programs without the Net?
My co-worker does not have Internet access. I burned the 21 day trail on a cd-r for him and he wants to buy it. What would be the best way to get it for him?
Thanks

Well, you just buy the key for him and you burn it onto a cd-r and then your mate can install the key in AnyDVD.

So there's pretty much no hope for anyone wanting the program with out net access?

As mg5pro suggested, you can buy the keys for him and transfer them (including the installation packages) to his machine with a CD-R/USB-Stick/whatever.

"you can only use one key code for one PC"
Well that's not entirely true, I have it on all 3 of my PCs.

Well, rephrase it to:
"you shall only use one key code for one PC"

The problem with Slysoft is that they require you to use a credit card. To purchase something like their products, I'd recommend getting a pre-paid credit card. Unless you dead-end a regular credit card (opt-out of information sharing), everything you purchase is available to marketers and "affiliates" of the CC company - including the RIAA or anyone who can pony up enough money to buy marketing information. Sometimes, that sharing will occur even if you dead-end/opt-out, and, with some banks, you may not have that option at all.
-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

ERICST, Slysoft programs automatically flags updates. However, since the user won't be getting the notifications, he won't be aware of them. Also, since you won't have the programs installed, you won't get the notifications automaticaolly either. You will have to check Afterdawn or Slysoft.

You have to give an email address, when you purchase, for them to send the key to. That's the address that gets the update notices.......... or I thought so.

I believe you are right. I think update notices are sent out even if the program is not installed.

Let me clarify a bit.
My co-worker has a PC but no Net access.
I burned the trial software for him onto a cd-r.
He likes it very much. He want to buy the full versions of both program's. My question is , Can I burn the full version to a disk to give to him. I can use one of my e-mail accounts to get the key for him. So , will that work?

The trial version is actually the full version.
One you enter the key, it makes it so it doesn't expire after 21 days, or if already expired, it makes it active again. But wouldn't hurt to redownload. Probably a newer version since the original download........

Have you decided how you will handle their critical updates?
