I've installed the PSP easy installer and everything looks fine, WHen i go to update my PSP to 2.71 from 2.60 it keeps saying the file is corrupted. any sugestion oh great one?

New question, i have installed 2.71, now when i download the psp easy installer and do all the steps, i go to game folder after i finish the steps then i go to games and devhook0.4x launcher for 2.71 and it gose 2 a psp screen then says the game could not be started (80020148) please help

Maybe I missed the post but for the Devhook Lacuncher /Vshek mod, when I switch to firmware 1.5 from 2.71 it doesn't stay at 1.5 when you reboot. For example I have version 1.5 on, when I power off the psp and power it back on it goes back to firmware 2.71 and I have to repeact the process. Is there a way to keep it at 1.5 permantly?

Hmm.. Well, just to tell you know, all the files and the dh, src folders should be on the memory stick, not in the psp folder. I think that might be whats wrong, not sure tho. The game and photo folders are right tho.

No, devhook is used to EMULATE 1.5 not make it pernament..

No...just on the memory stick, just put the files and the src, dh folders there. Not in a folder, not in the psp folder, not in the mp_root folder (this is for videos). Just on the memory stick.

icaba looks like u lost your way in installing
pspsteve you cannot permenently stay on 1.5 coz you are only emulating it.if u want to permenently stay then downgrade your psp with a downgrade.but there is no way for a TA-082 user to downgrade to 1.5.ta-082 can only be downgraded to 2.5.good luck.

I have a little problem with loading a cso. This is my first attempt at loading an iso or cso so mabye im doing somthing wrong, ive followed all of the steps in the guide and everything seems to go well until i hit start in devhook, rather than getting a blue screen where i am suppose to hold home and press either L or R, the psp just crashes and turns off. Any ideas?

I did it myself, cause I couln't download the easy installer.

You switch it in the DEVHOOK menu. Go to firmware and select 1.5. The only crappy thing is that you gotta do it everytime you wanna play emmulations.

no problem. What are you going to play? Right now I'm making a SNES library so I gotta get a 4G card now off ebay(by far the cheapest in the world!). Although when I use s9xTYL-0.4.2me it kinda runs SLOW on some games, does anyone else have the same prob? I tried at 333mhz but still runs slow. I know I can take away some features to make it go faster but is there something better out there? I guess it all depends on the software in the end.

Hi kealvalro or anyone please help me...i have already install the "easy installer VER2.ras" everthing is fine as follow,
1)boot "HENC" in "PHOTO" SUB-MENU blue screen pop out and auto reboot
2)go to memorystick > choose DEVHOOK0.4X launcher for 2.71 (inside devhook menu)
3)set the settings
TARGET : (reboot XMB)
UMD-FILE : ms0:/ISO/FifaWorldCup06.ppf ===(IS IT BECAUSE OF THIS ISO???)
UMD-MODE : Image+ANYUMD
FW path : ms0:/dh/271 (MS HOOK)
CLOCK : 222/111
REMOTE : remote controller
PL-ADDR : 89200000
Than Start !!!
The background did change to a different one. Holding "home" button then press L or R" i still can see the iso detail below but when i put the umd game inside, THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM COME...my PSP STALL / FREEZ (where the blue screen show DEVICE HOOK PSP Firlware Emulator) ???? What did i miss???? Did i get the wrong iso, cos. i don't know where to look for iso :-(

^^ I think you need a loader to play ISO games, I don't think dev hook alond is enough. You need something to load the ISO.

I think your problem, Doki is that you haven't got an ISO image file. You see, your file ends in ".ppf". An ISO image ends in ".iso". So please get an ISO image copy of your game and try again.
