rad, it should, I say that because I too have a uk version. However my firmware is 2.71 (US) but that was only because I could not find an EU one.
And I have been reading this thread for almost a month and heard nothing about any other UK users not getting it working.

Hi Rad, Yes this does work fine on a UK 2.71.
quick question anyone i am having problems loading Killzone, i know someone mentioned earlier about how they got it to work but didnt really explain how.
kealvalro, im having trouble with the link for step F, this would be useful before putting the ISO's onto the memory card...cheers

Hey guys, please help.
I downloaded the snoopy game from mininova. after extracting it to iso file n put inside my psp, the system read the firmware that i currently using is 2.71 and need 9.99 version to run the game. any idea what's wrong with it? or is there any limitation of this version of devhook? it cant run some of the latest game?
Please advice. >.<

As far as I know you can only do this with chunglams, I did try it with the standard devhook but i could not find a way to do it.
I have had to do a proper reboot (first time for ages) to explain this as i do not know how to do it else.
Do the HenC thing,
load DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX Mod
Scroll down to "ADD-ON MENU" press circle
Scroll down to "HEN(2.71 only)" press circle
highlight "Disable" press circle (on mine highlight means make it marine colour)
Press Triangle
Press Trianlge
go to start, HOWEVER!!!
if you have not already done it...
go to "MORE OPTIONS" press circle
select "UMD SFO VERSION" press circle
select "2.xx to 2.00"

The "hen disable" setting gets killzone working
The "2.xx to 2.00" setting seems to be what gets the 2.8x firmware iso's running (ex ace combat)

just go to devicehook configure and change to UMD load and then back to Iso/Cso then it will work.

ok guys i know some of you do not get it but
just go to devhook menu,choose firmware 2.71 and then disable HENC
but this is what i actually do
2.71 is enabled with HENC but
2.71 nanflash is disable with HENC
i use devhook 0.45 instead of 0.46 cuz i use 1.5 sometimes
oh and remember to switch on the ufo version like what kondor says

I finished putting the file, and got the interface below
UMD SELECT : XMB-BOOT[usus-00001].cso (I dont find this option here!!!!)
firmware : 2.71 , not the nandflash
clock : 222/111
thumbnail mode : enable
Auto DISC ID : enable
MORE OPTIONS>>>>UMD SFO VERSION : 2.xx to 2.00
REMOTE CTRL : remote controller
preload address : 0x98200000
autorun : disable
screenshots : disabled
ADD-ON MENU>>>>>XMB SCREENSHOT : enable
HEN(2.71 only) : enable
press on start in the devhook menu.
4.hold the HOME[/bold} button for three sec then use the analog to move,ok now set these final settings
Also, where do you put the iso file in the ms. Thanks.

Hi, I have follow the guide and everting works flawless but some game couldn't be play like Ghost In THe Shell : Stand Alone Complex. I tried many times and the game wont start after the psp logo on the black screen the psp just turn off itself after 20 seconds. I have tried downloading the game from another source in bittorent but still the same.
Valkryie Profile the game freezes when the 1st battle start & the psp turn off itself.
Is those game arent supported by the software i have tried HENB & HENC both having the same problem ? MY PSP is v2.71 TA-82 using Devhook 0.4x for 2.71 THX.

DEz012 try playing other games coz some users said that there is problems with the game valkyrie profile itself.im not so sure about ghost in the shell.why dont you try other games maybe the game itself you download is currupted,can be anything so good luck
guys anyway if you want to know GTA : VICE CITY STORIES
works for chunglam devhook you just need to switch the ufo version to 2.xx to 2.00 and have fun.good luck.

i followed the guide and everything worked fine for me to make this easy and not to confuse you guys whoever had problems playing Valkryie Profile just download my backup i just compressed them to a RAR file just unpack all the files and tranfer them all to you psp memory stick duo be4 copying them make a backup of your memory stick to your desktop first and then format your memory stick after copying all the files then 1) go to photo and run henc after successfuly rebooted then go to 2) game's memory stick then run DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX all the configurations is the same as the guide 3) loading iso/cso games after you have started and a different look will appear that means you got it now insert anyUMD game my 1st try got "Dummy UMD" if you try to play with it, it will have an error saying that your current version is 2.71 and you need to upgrade it to version 9.99 then do this go to game's memory stick select DeviceHook configure then select play from UMD and then you could play the UMD you have inserted not the iso/cso now go back and do the same and select play iso/cso and now you are able to play your iso/cso game good luck to everyone

i split the file into 2 all you need is to use create_backup.exe to put the 2 files into 1 file. if there is any error in the download link or files just let me know i'll try to fix them. I'm a noob on his i just got my PSP 3 days ago i was looking for an answer to the same problem 2 days ago and i was able to figure out it to work i'm just explaining what i did to make it work, i'm not doing any guide if anything is wrong please correct me.

thanx man i love you, i used the normal version of devhook but this one seems to work even better. with the other one i coldn't run ace combat and marvel ultimate but now it worked like a charm. thanx a lot again. oh and also the tutorial on playing through usb very useful!!

just one thing man, when i'm playing a game and i quit said game, the psp freezes, i just see a black screen and that's it. it does not do anything else. what am i doing wrong or do i have to turn off the psp everytime i want to change games via usb?

you mean you press the HOME button to exit the game rite.nothing would go wrong.
changing the games via usb just press home and choose the game.
remember that if you want to play back the games in your memory stick then press the home button then move the analogstick left once and there you go.but i think if u hard reset ur psp u will be back to your memory stick instead of via usb

yeah i press home to exit and it goes black, mmm and then i gotta turn it off and do the whole thing again (hen c, devhook...) but i guess this is better than nothing

hey wut up keal,
I got GTA LCS to work on my memory card but i want to be able to play the multiplayer with my friends PSP that has the original umd in it but everytime we try mine loads faster than his and we get disconnected at the last second. is there a way that i can slow down my loading time or maybe speed up his so that we can be able to play each other??? so far ive tried turning the power and winlan switch on and off, pushing start at the beginning to maybe lag time, opening the umd disk really fast and then closing it, and i tried taking out the batteries during loading time. None of these methods worked. What can I do???????

patherx i think your one has no problem with the iso.maybe his one has problems with the iso,try giving him your one and try again if this does not work try this maybe his memory stick is slow.
try putting your memory stick in his psp and put his memory stick in your psp and try again,if you notice that in his psp is faster now then that means is his memorystick problem.alrite later
oh sorry supra00 and pantherX,i didn't read properly.oh i see so your friend is using the umd but you are using iso.
i tried this with my friend playing dragon ball z and intial D street stage.he was using umd that is a lot slower in loading and going through wifi.
so if u want to play games through wifi a lot faster than both of u is best to use ISO GAMES instead of UMD
