I'm getting the 9.99 version update error with every single game and UMD disc I try. I can't seem to shake it. Any ideas?

sopple go to devhook menu and try to change the UFO version to 2.xx to 2.00.then see if it works now.

Slopple, i had this problem, if you have chunglams on your stick from the screen with the message i pressed O and then presses home to select the ISO and this seemed to work for me

ok well i downloaded the folder from that site but in that folder all i got were a bunch of other WinRAR folders in it?!?!?! what am i supposed to do with that? i thought i was downloading an ISO. i cant put that folder in my psp ISO folder and hope it works can I???

they just split one big file into multi-files smaller files so ppl could download it just run WinRAR if you don't have WinRAR download it and extract the iso file by clicking any of the rar files.

got everything working + thanks for the guide. Does this mean i can now play snes emulator games on my ta-082?? If so, how, and does anyone have a guide/link to one. Already bricked on psp and don't want to do it again ...

Ok im a little confused here. am i suppossed to extract each and every WinRAR file into another folder?? and if so how will the PSP/ISO folder know that it is an iso?? I mean, every single WinRAR file has an ISO in it so it doesnt make sence to me how the devhook would be able to pick it up. Plus the fact that the entire download was only 387mb. I find it hard to beleive that a GTA game that normaly 1.15GB is now only 387mb and still plays like the original!?! I guess i never realy worked with one of these kind of downloads b4. For me its always been straight download of the entire file. also i judt downloaded a dj program that came out looking similar to this one but in some of the WinRAR files there are even more WinRAR files in them am i supposed to extract thoses as well or leave them alone???

hey pantherX,where did u download the iso from coz a post in this forum says they have download some of the game and notice that the game was fake.
but anyway try this open the file with WinRAR,if there is a lot of WinRAR files.try extracting all the files to another folder then double click one of them,then i think u will see the iso inside but again if u see a lot WinRAR files again try doing the same thing and if u notice that they are all like this then most probably fake.it's better to get a new one
the reason why some games can be compress from 4.50gb to 386mb coz of program called 7z.the program is good though still some games cannot be compress that small.i found this kind of file in torrentspy that was dragon ball Z for the ps2.
oh and guys if u want need for speed carbon iso image for the ps2,it's out long time but just telling u guys.find it in gamestorrent or blackcats or torrentspy or isohunt
Death jr II.iso for the psp is out too.but i found this in gamestorrent.com.

because WinRAR compress the files that's why every1 use WinRAR to put miltiple files into 1 big file to distribute over internet, let me explain you downloaded GTA.rar so when you extract it you see a GTA folder that have rar files named GTA.rar, GTA.r01, GTA.r02...GTA.r32 or what the numbers are then you just need to open any of them and extract GTA.iso/cso all the RAR file is just one file GTA.rar=387Mb so it is the same as 16Mb x 24 rar files this happens because you can't find any online storage for free to host a single file of 387Mb but you can holt 24 files of 16Mb hopes this explains to you. cheers

i downloaded the CW cheat and followed all the instructions and i know i have it ready but when i start devhook and shit it does to screen that says PSP [when starting the UMD] and then it turns black like its gonna start SOCOM FTB and then just stays black forever...
does any1 know how i can fix this if u do then AIM @ st3fansch00lsu

i have a question im sorry but i cant find it anywhere but i bought a psp entertainment pack and when i checked the verison it was set on 2.6 i read about bricking the psp so i have some question
1st is this the right way to do it so you can play an iso game
2nd is there any quicker way to play an iso on psp
3rd for this to work you have to be connected to the compuer to play the iso

ok well i extracted all the WinRAR files into one folder and like magic it all turned into one ISO!!! i still dont know how this came to be but u wont hear any complaints from me so happy day indeed. in any case i wouldnt recomend getting the 387mb download from gamrtorrents.com, although the game works just fine there is the gaint pet peeve that some of the radio stations dont work so im gonna try again at another site but thanx for the info anyways fellas!!
also i have to agree with HaXoR3o5. kealvaro should post a tutorial on how to setup and get the CW cheats to work for the games cus as of right now i still have no idea on how to use them

i brought the entertainment pack too and you are on the right place this is not a downgrade so you don't have to worry about bricking you psp this is just an emulator there is nothing involved with the firmware and for you info u can't downgrade ur psp cuz it is ic3001 a TA-082 board so it will brick if u try to downgrade it to version 1.5
1) yes this is the right way
2) this is not long just 3 steps to play read 1st post and read the guide
3) if your memory stick is big enough to fit the iso then u don't but u need to be connected to the pc to copy iso to ur memory stick and using usb to play iso is another way to play iso but not required

im sorry guys but i dont really know how to use cwcheat nor cheatmaster.coz i never have used it but you can try to make a thread and ask other users.how to use cwcheat on chunglams devhook.
coz the problem is that it just enables it but it should have a function that can put translated codes so that you can use it,i think most probably there is a problem with cwcheat in chunglams devhook,somehow he even didn't give any guide on how to even use it.
do not know why he didn't even do it.

supra00 i think it is best if u make sure before posting it coz if someone trys it then if it bricks there psp then there will be a problem.try reading their post and see if it works for us.

GUYS I STILL HAVE THAT PROBLEM>> AND NO ONE HAS ADDRESSED IT OR PROVIDED ANY TYPE OF HELP..
i've followed the instructions to the 'T' for the do-it yourself..
now..
it works as far as it restarting and allowing me to open devhook.. allows me to set it the way i should have.. and i downloaded 2 iso games..
power stone..
GTA liberty stories.
the problem is when i try to play these games, it will just go to a blank screen.. the psp stays on tho.. but it's just not loading the game.
and no.. the umd disc is not in the psp..
and no.. the iso's aren't bad.. because i've downloaded 5 just to test it..
umm... i would try the easy installer.. but if i'm doing it correctly with the do-it yourself..
then i doubt it would make any difference..

donst4r better use the easy installer.

format your memory stick(must for best result)
just extract all the files to your memory stick and put the iso game in the iso folderthen boot henc(wait for the folder box to be covered then click on it) and then boot devhook(not the reconfigure) then set the settings,
umd select - power stone(that is your game rite)
firmware - 2.71(not the nandflash one,just to try.later u can use it)
clock - 222/111(dont use 300/150 or 333/166,some users brick their psp when doing this)
thumnail mode - enable
auto disc id - enable
more options>>UMD SFO VERSION - 2.xx to 2.00(leave the rest)
add-on menu>>HEN(2.71 only) - enable(leave the rest)
press on start
that is it now you can play your games
but if u want to play killzone you have to disable add-on menu>>HEN(2.71 only)
