don't worry... I've done it & I think some of the other in this forum had done it & working 100% with ISO games...

I need advice about files
CSO files are smaller than ISO files correct?
If so how can i compress them further as i have 'The Godfather' on CSO and its just over a gb. Therefore i cannot have GTA-LCS and Field Commander on the 2gb MS
Can somebody give me some tips please also whatis a DAX file?
I have a programme to convert both CSO & ISO to DAX?

Hi,
I'm doing this for my friend since his is a TA and was a 2.6. So I updated the firmware to 2.71 and gave him this ver. of Devhook. However, it's very annoying to go and select the picture every time, then wait until the PSP reboots, then launch devhook.
Is there any way to do this without loading the whole photo thing?

jeesh, just looking at the files that are needed to be downloaded makes me frightened. i wish someone who had done the job would be available for chatting XD

hogget try to change it back to iso then delete the update folder inside then if u do not mind u can delete some of the videos.lastly compress the file back to cso.that should do the work.
try to find a software in psp-hacks.com or pspupdates.qj.net.
sovmish nope there is no other ways.well u can do this just simply standby the psp that means just tapping the on/off button.if you HARDRESet your psp then it will go back to your original firmware.
HARDRESET means holding the on/off button for few seconds.

format your memory stick(must for best result)
just extract all the files to your memory stick and put the iso game in the iso folder then boot henc(wait for the folder box to be covered then click on it) and then boot devhook(not the reconfigure)
and guys do not post here coz i have closed this thread already,if you are having problems in this.just go to pspjuniors thread.when i have time i will get back to you guys,later

as for now i know i lot of people are having problems in doing it and some of u guys want to use chunglams version.
this is how chunglams devhook looks like,it has more functions then dark_alex devhook launcher

furious88,i have added another link for the dax ziso in the first post right under the link u could not go through,sorry bout that and about running the internet speed faster.if you are on router then the speed is usually slow.you have to open the nat firewall.
mpac_sam you can get the easy installer at the end of the post then when u finish downloading it.format your memorystick(best result). then extract all the files inside the easy installer straight to your memory stick you do not need to change anything accept the settings

Hi, I need some help. I am trying to get this to work on my friends PSP. It was a 2.60 and I had all the emulaters running from eloader. Then he updated to play NBA live so its now a 2.71. So the eloader no longer works. I tried to do this HenC and Devhook thing. The first time I tried it I think I forgot to put those few text file looking things on the main root. I had everything but those few files. When I ran HenC it flashed blue, then green but then froze. I tried it again and it flashed blue and held.. then black and froze. I reformated the memory card and tried exactly how it said on a few forums, a video, and I have tried the easy installer. Every time I try to run HENC now it goes to the blue and then black.. freezes. Did I screw it up the first time I ran because I forgot to add those files? Is there anyway to clear the memory. I did the hard reset (holding the power up for 6 seconds). Nothing seems to fix this. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

thought this thread was closed. anyways dude are you using the easy installer or chunglam where you have to do everything from scratch. from memory, all the guides and tutorials i have read never ever mentioned blue then black. the only time it goes balck is when the screen turns blue for a loooong time then it shuts off and you have to start all over again.
what MS stick are you using and are you sure you have FW 2.71 ?
i think you are trying to run henc before you initiated the psp to be henc friendly. back track a little
1.format the stick
2.place the extracted easy installer in your psp root
3.go to the photo menu and select henC but dont press any button. Wait till the screen goes grey then press start
4.once it resets go to devhook for 2.71 then emulate your previous firmware

Its an Offical Sony 1 gig memory card. The fw is 2.71 not from the download off the website update, but an update done from the psp. Yeah every time I run HENc it goes blue, I guess it doesn't go black, but it doesn't show anything on the screen. After that it shuts itself off. It never resets. If I try to run HENC the way you said by pressing start, it shows a white screen and the little loading icon that you get when its on the web. It just stays on that untill I reset it. By the way I don't have any umd in the drive. I have no idea why it won't work. Tried it like three different ways and tried running HENC four ways (pressing start, X, Right, triangle and slideshow.) nothing works.

you have to get HENC and replace it again but if u can't get through still.use the easy installer that will help your friend.

I have already tried 2 diffent HENC downloads and the easy installer. They all do the same thing. Does the offical sony psp 2.71 update not work with it? Does it have to be the one downloaded on the web?

Does it have to be the one downloaded on the web? I just put a new henc version on and now it runs when I push start, but still does the same thing as when I push x. Runs the blue,.. nothing.. powers off.

Hey i think i did something wrong. I followed all of the steps but when I get to the dev hook menu, I get this as one of the values in the settings: "fm version: 2.71/2.71" I 'm assuming that one of those is supposed to say 1.50 or something so that I would be able to switch betwen them, but since it doesn't say it, i cant. Also when I try to choose the 1.50 firmware from the second setting, it asks me if I want to switch to dev hook .45 and exit. I have tried selecting that and canceling it but the 1.50 doesn't work, the PSP just crashes. Any ideas? Thanks

yes I am using a linksys router , so if i disable the firewall,it will be faster ? btw will it be easier for hackers to come in too?

did you guys get the one from torrent or the old one.
the old one does not work ok,do what i will try to video recorde it then maybe you guys will understand.
furious,no you have to set the settings in the router menu.u have to type the router address in IE then set it there.

just follow what it says and you will get it soon
yes just switch to 0.45 if it ask,yes it will hang just restart your psp and do the process.so that next time u do not need to do it.now choose 1.50 and there u go u are in 1.50.then if u want to go back to 2.71 in devhook(it will ask u to switch to 0.46)do not switch it,just cancel and start.coz 0.46 on any kind of devhook have problems with it.switching to 0.46 is not nessesary.
bryan there shouldn't be a problem.since a lot of users said it works.try to format your memorystick,must.
coz i think you messed up the files.you should first install HENC then install DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.65b.coz if you did it the opposite way this will overwrite devhook launcher and will not work at all.put it in the right place and everything will be fine.

Hello Guys its just my first post here and i found that Keal is so helpfull for noobs or for pro. More Power to you.
Id done all the process and it works fine. But i didnt tried to play ISO yet coz im still downloading it now. I just want to ask if Metal Gear Acid, Burnout Legends, Need for speed rivals, is working with this? is ther anyone tried it? lordzed66,thnxs and yes burnout revenge and need for speed rival works fine,but i did not try metal gear solid acid coz it is not action.music you have to place it in X:\PSP\MUSIC and it must be MP3 format unless u got the wma enable that is you have to go online,make a folder name MUSIC if u do not have it there.about VIDEO then it should be MP4 format and have to be place in X:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01.when you convert it there must be two files,the MP4 file must be name M4V10001 and the THM file should be name M4V10001.THM.if u want to put another the next one should be name M4V10002 and M4V10002.THM and so on.100MNV01 is an example u can name it like 101ANV01.good luck guys
