Theres a way to install 0.51.01!
Download Devhook v0.51.01
Delete replace the folders: 05 & 05beta in the dh folder on you psp
with
the 05 & 05beta folders in ms_root\dh from Devhook v0.51.01 you just downloaded.

Thanks for this great thread.
Im having issues booting new games like pes6 and killzone on my 2.71 ta-082.
I wonder if all tutorials on 1st post works for ta-082.Or just "TA-082 only..."
Sorry for the n00b question,but im really a n00b in psp world.:)

I still can´t figure this.
I used easy install, copy all th files to PSP root, restart, went to folder photo and used HEND (slideshow), the PSP went from a blue screen to a red screen(normal i think) and shutdown.
I started the PSP went to GAME and started DEVHOOK Reconfigure and gives me this message: Game could not be started (80020148)(and yes i copied one game to ISO folder).
Any ideia would be appreciated

normal would be blue to green,if red showed something isnt ok.

Hey kealvalro, great guide man, i followed it and was able to play some ISO on my TA-082, thanks very much!
However, there are some games that I am having problem with, they are: Capcom Classic Collection: Remixed and Capcom Classic Collection: Reloaded, and Sega Genesis Collection. The problem is kinda weird, because it is not consistent, sometimes I was able to load the game fine, but after I quit the game, and re-run the same game again, it would stuck at the loading screen, then I have to reboot my psp. I've downloaded other ISO and the problem still exists.
I'm wondering if there is a special setting in devhook, eg: memory address? that would fix this problem. I read somewhere that there is this guy Necro something that also posted about similar problem. Has anyone here that had experience this problem with these 3 ISOs?

Hey guys-
I have devhook .51 running and it is great!! The only question I have is if I have multiple iso's loaded on the system how do I switch from one iso to another while emulating 3.01?

i never knew psp made a add on camara,
only works with 3.1 could i still use the camare even tohow iam realy 2.71? just emulating 3.1????
and were to buy 1from?

with no umd inserted and at psp menu, press the home key.
at top of the list it should say
UMD IMAGE umd disc
press left then it should now say
UMD IMAGE emulation,
then look in bottom left of the screen, shouls say the name of the iso it will play.
press left again and the text in the bottom left of screen will change to the next iso u wana play,
when u get the 1 u want press home key again then insert ur umd disc,

OK i did the 3rd option on my ta-082 2.71 and did the easy downgrader...one problem when i go in to photo it and click on Hend all it does is freeze any help? tried it a few times

A)installing PBP unpacker and UNPACKING 3.01 files
1.open [b]"pbp-unpacker-094-setup",click next then accept with agreement and click next four times
then the install butto and it will install when finish click finish.it will boot out itself.
2.leave the "pbp unpacker" for a while but don't close it.now open the file "301_FW_US" that is
actually "3.01 Firmware Update (US)".you will see an "EBOOT.PBP" file,drag this file
to your desktop,close the WinRAR.
3.now go back to your "pbp unpacker",click open then search for the file "EBOOT.PBP" on
your desktop then click open.on the description below "Right-click" on the file "DATA.PSAR"
then click extract and save it in desktop,close "pbp unpacker" and delete the "EBOOT.PBP"
4.leave the "DATA.PSAR" file that u have save in desktop for a while.
B)installing HEND, devhook launcher for FW2.71, 1.50 dump and PSAR Dumper for FW 3.00 & 3.01
note:plug your usb to your psp and computer and plug your AC adapter that is your power plug for recharging to your psp,remember to place your battery in.leave everything in place until u finish the whole process
1.backup all your files from your memorystick then format your memorystick(must)
2.open "henD" with WinRAR then inside you will see 3 folders and 2 files,open the folder called "MS_ROOT" then move all the files here straight to your memorystick root.
3.open "devhook launcher for FW2.71" with WinRAR then move the folder [b]"src" to your memorystick root,now open "MS_ROOT" then move all the files straight to your memorystick root.overwrite if ask
4.open "1.50 dump US" with WinRAR,move all the files here to your memorystick "DH/150" folder.overwrite if ask
5.open "PSAR Dumper for FW 3.00 & 3.01" then move all the files to "psp/game"
6.move the file "DATA.PSAR" that u have saved on desktop to your memory stick root.
C)booting HEND,devhook launcher,emulating 1.50 and dumping 3.01 files
1.switch on your psp then boot [b]HEND in photo then the psp will autoboot itself,if it does not autoboot and freezes then redo it again.it is normal.
2.go to "GAME" then "memorystick" then boot "devhook0.4X launcher for 2.71 and set the settings
firmware:1.50
cpu clock:222/111
boot select:reboot XMB
then click on start,now you should be on emulated 1.50.check your system settings.if it is then good.if it is not then you most probably place the files in the wrong path.do step B) again if u could not emulate to 1.50.
3.now go to "GAME" then memorystick then boot "PSAR DUMPER V2 B",now u will be in look like dos-mode.now there is three option
choose the one that says "press X to dump encrypted with sigcheck and decrypted reboot.bin.just press X and wait,you will see that your psp is saving files and it keeps coming from top to bottom.
it's normal.it takes about 2-5mins and it will exit itself to your emulated 1.50.
4.now go to [b]"USB CONNECTION" then in your computer open "removable drive" that is your psp memorystick.find for the folder "F0",move that folder to your desktop.
5.format your memorystick
C)installing HEND,DevHook v0.51 Launcher for 2.71 HEN-D
1.open "henD" with WinRAR then inside you will see 3 folders and 2 files,open the folder called "MS_ROOT" then move all the files here straight to your memorystick root.
2.open "devhook051_271",that is "DevHook v0.51 Launcher for 2.71 HEN-D",place the "src" folder straight to your memorystick then go back once.open the folder "MS_ROOT" drag all the three folders "PSP"[/b},[b]"fbm" and "dh" to your memory stick,overwrite if ask.
3.now in your desktop move the folder "F0" to YOUR MEMORYSTICK "DH/301"[/],OVERWRITE IF ASK
[b]D)booting HEND,DevHook v0.51 Launcher for 2.71 HEN-D,flashing files and booting 3.01
1.switch on your psp then boot HEND in photo then the psp will autoboot itself,if it does not autoboot and freezes then redo it again.it is normal.
2.go to "GAME" then "memorystick" then boot "devhook0.51 BETA for 2.71
3.now this is the important part,don't miss a word k.in devhook menu choose "firmware" then there should be only one option "3.01",choose that one and it will go back to the main menu.now choose "FLASH INSTALL" then choose "install configfile to flash1:".now u will be in a dos-mode like again with white and red words.
4.press and hold circle button for 1 second then wait,u will see that it is flashing the file from top to bottom.it takes only 3-8secs to finish.then press and button to exit this dos-mode like
and u will be back to "devhook0.51 BETA for 2.71.
F)booting the first time
umd select:umd disc(can change in devhook,so no need to worry)
firmware: 3.01(ms or flash+ms)
clock cpu:266/133mhz
boot mode:XMB MENU
then click on "start devhook",and wait
choose english and the rest is up to u.
if 3.01 does not boot then just reflash the files again,if it writes error on sving then that means u must have missed out a part or u did a part wrong.
ok now booting iso,devhook menu will pop out itself when u have boot it from devhook,if not then press home u will see the the menu.set your settings
umd image:emulation+your game(move the D-PAD right to choose your game)
cpu clock:266/133(putting the speed higher will consume a lot of power,and will eat your battery's energy fast but there is no prob)
umd sfo ver:does not matter i guess it is just for 2.71
now just press "HOME" button again then place your umd in your psp and wait for the game to pop out.there u go
play higher firmware games yeehaaa!!!!lol!!!

Hi,
I've been following this thread for a few days now, and I have some questions.
Using this method, are we able to run other version firmwares (such as 2.00, 2.50 etc) on the psp using devhook?
Also, are we able to run other homebrew softwares (such as MPHloader and umdemulator) on the psp now?
Is it HEN D that allows you to run these homebrew programs on the psp 2.71 (ta-082)?
And Lastly, what are the chances of bricking the psp by using all these homebrew programs? not likely?

@dman33 u can fontmod in psphacks..search for it but u need to emulate 1.5fw to use fontmod..
@Athrun_C Calling all noobs! Here we have Zephyrus? all-in-one DevHook package for both standard 1.50/2.71 SE users and folks running 2.71 with HEN-D ? the TA-082 motherboard crowd.
These two packages are bundled with everything you require, hence the ?All-in-One? title. As well as the usual from Zephyrus ? a structured noob-friendly approach with an extremely detailed readme. The readme will guide you through installing ?DevHook v0.51.0100″ with firmware 3.02, or any other firmware for that matter. Keep in mind 2.8x-3.0x require a sigchecked dump, unique to your PSP.

@satfred thi works for ta-082 and non ta-082 coz i have tried it on my sis friends psp..but its just weird she can downgrade it and use oringinal 1.50.maybe she is afraid of bricking..lol!!!!
@kevhooker try chaging the umd sfo version to 2.xx to 2.00,if it does not work try emulating 3.0x to play it.should work
@y2kardell when u press HOME you should see a devhook menu pop out then scroll to umd image then press right or left.you should see at the botton of the screen that the game is changing.choose on of them then press home then place a umd inside and wait for the game to pop out.it should be there..
@passking lol only in japan.but i dont think the camera will be good use if u do not have a bigger memory stick.
@Assa55in u can emulate 3.02 in the 0.51 and in 0.51.100.well i will change my faqs a bit later
@mingman82 try reinstalling hend get it here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/922 then in the guide u will see how to do it.then try boot hend again..
@pho_man 1.yes u can emulate 1.50,2.00,2.60.2.71,etc but u need both of the devhook's to get all the features
2.running MPHloader and umdemulator,not sure i do need to use it but what is it for.
3.hend can run a few homebrews in your oringinal firmware but u have to test it,yup hend allows 99% of launching hombrews...
4.there is no chance in actual coz u are just emulating it coz it is all ported from 2.71..likely so i did not brick my psp for doing this more than 19 times.so think bout it.good luck

in your guide for emulating 3.01. you say to place the old devhook back.
does that mean i will have two devhooks (0.46 and 0.51)? And were draging the contents of the old DH folder into the new DH foldr right?
about those other homebrew prog. if found mphloader and umdemulator bundled with an iso i dlled. i dont even know if i need them or not. lol.

hey guys. . .quick question. Finally got this all to work! Thanks for the awesome Easy install pack bro(I used the second one bundled with WinZIP .. . is that the most recent one?)
quick question
can I select change sfo 2.xx to 2.00 and then disable henc to play a purchased umd of killzone on a 2.71? I know it needs 2.8. Also, very first part of this guide says to disable henc from devhook menu to play games that need 2.80, 2.81 on 2.71. . . can't find where to do that in the devhok menu?

My hend is acting weird im wondering if anyone else has had this problem? When I add picture to my memory stick and change the background my hend does not work the next time i goto use it, so i have to reinstall hend? Its not a big deal but it is annoying and i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem

1. when i flash the new files in both methods to 3.01 it tells me i have to delete dummy.dat and then freezes to a black screen, power back up to normal 2.71 fw.
Please help.
