no you dont have to wait for the update, you just have to wait for their servers to accept you.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Hey can i un-stall YDL anytime? YO i got a Glitch for the ps3 browser. If you wanna post when your on the site browsing with your ps3 when you click reply on any topic and the buttons ony pop-up scroll down and click the link "Afterdawn.com" After you've clicked that wait for it to finish loading (should be less than 20 Seconds) Then click L1(Back) on your controller/Paddle (lmao my freind calls them paddles) Then when you've clicked back there is the text with the buttons waiting for you to type your reply in the box ;)

Tyler_911, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP.

I have a problem...i jus got my PS3 and i needed to get a transformer to change the voltage to 220...so i did jus that, but i guess i must have had the swtiches reversed, and when i plugged it in, the ps3 turned on i pressed the eject button, then it made a 'boom' sound and smoke came out, but it didnt smell like it was burning (the smell was really funky and awful), so i reversed the switches and turned it on and it worked but i didnt wanna go further than that in fear id damage it..
can anyone plz tell me wat happened and what i should do next?????!!!!!

Hey when im installing the YDL it says this after at end like "debugging, sending discover" it says that 3 times then says like "error cannot find lease" "lease failed" or something like that and then it keeps saying a directory of which it cannot locate a file. can someone tell me what i did wrong or if i downloaded YDL with wrong components?

mayeb its not thinking the disk is valid? i have to use to ydl disks. one works to the install but then says the disk is invalid, then i pop it out and pop in the other ydl disk that doesnt boot but is oddly still verified.

How long do you think it will take for the servers to accept me because i dont want to keep on setting my internet cable box all the way downstairs and going back and forth to set it back up to my computer. Such a hassle so it will be great if you tell me when i should try it..

one was burned from the iso (one that boots but wont install.) and one was just copied files (one that will install after the other boots the installation)

did you get a 20 gig or a 60? why dont you use a wireless router? i dont know how long it will take, and if its any longer id suggest calling sony and complaining.
im also getting these horrible horizontal lines when the picture on my screen changes fast, like the vsinc is off or something. maybe this would be a good excuse for a replacement?

ok can anyone plz help me with my earlier post? the PS3 works fine, but it still gives out that bad smell when its on, its not that strong, but its worrying..wats happened exactly, if anyone knows?

whats it smell like? it could be capaitors that are burning. does it smell kind of plasticy? or maybe like ozone (aka like an electrical fire)?

a bunch of my friends have suggested that thats wat it could be..but wat rubber is burning...and has it damaged the ps3 in any way?

the insides of the wire (the copper) when copper burns it smells like burnig rubber! I'd call sony because you obiviasly have a bad wire/ a short!

I need help guys! I just got a ps3 and already having an issue with it.
I set-up up everything right and everything works perfectly fine up until i tried to pop in a disc. The system would not take it in. It would have a hard time sucking it in and would get stuck half way. I tried forcing it in but it did not help at all. Is this something that can be fixed by myself or should i just bring it back to the store where i bought it from? I searched for this kind of problem but didnt see a single complain like this. I just hope that the store i bought it from still has some in stock. I want to play resistance so bad.

Nope it does'nt make any beeping noise and im pretty there is'nt any game inside it. I even held on to the eject btton for 10 seconds as suggested in the troubleshooter to force any disc to be ejected. It sucks it in half way in and try to turn it and it will start making this sound like its having a really hard time suckin it in. I guess i just have to take it back and I'll keep my fingers crossed that they still have one in stock.

Good News:
I just got a new one. And it works flawlessly. Resistance is such a great game. I cant believe how amazing the graphics are and it is only in 720p. what more if it was at 1080p.
The BAD News:
The new system that i got does'nt include the movie talladega nights. I called up the store where i got it from and they told me that the new systems does'nt have the movie included anymore. they said that promo stopped a month ago. If i only knew, i would've kept the movie.
