so i have an external hdd and my ps3 read that its there, but whenever i try to interact with it such as read files or copy to it, it then unmounts the device. anyone have any idea? the file system is fat32.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Same here i have a line in the middle of my Madden game at times when its changin fast.

this is a two part question:
how do i save a game on the hard disk so that i dont have to use the CD every time i wanna play the game?
can i take a friend's game and save it onto my hard disk for future game play?

Hey guys, a little off topic here but anyone playing resistance here? well, i was playng online last night for the first time (btw...great game). And i saw all the other guys moving so fast like running and i look like i was just walking compare to how fast they were. i thought that was just the regular movement you can get from your guy but everytime i tried to follow somebody, i couldnt catch up. is there a button im supposed o hold onto while walking to make my guy run?

I think in multiplayer you can run. I'm not sure off the top of my head which button you press. But I think only the humans can sprint. The chimera have some sort of heat sensing ability instead.

i got a weird green background, even when i loaded resistance there was this green background, the graphics were green, i reset the ps3 and it was all ok, it happened once but it dissapeared fast, any ideas?

resistance is all sorts of f***** up. im sending in my copy for a warrenty replacement soon. it sometimes doesnt load sounds, and then this one time (i have videos which i shall upload for you all at the end of the weekend) the whole map was missing except the skybox and the fog trail of the path to follow. this was in co-op and to eachother we were invisable. when i killed my teammate he could see my body all black w/o a head and one invisable gune and one not. when the little screaming bugs came in tgo attact i was fireing blindly and blood was spewing here and there, sometimes close sometimes far, but the things were invis. i've had another instance on outgunned where everything has a black texture and no sounds but your allies speak is heard. i wonder what it all is.. happens on every ps3 i've tried sometime or another.
and that hard rive that doesnt work, i dont know the drive name but the case is from nexstar.

iking - all you have to do to sprint in multiplayer is tap L2. Same goes for the chimera "rage mode".
I went over to a friend's house last night (I don't have high speed internet) and tried to play resistance both wirelessly and wired. It took forever for me to sign into the psn and all that stuff. When I finally was signed in, I booted up resistance and I couldn't get the online multiplayer stuff to load up. I practically spent the whole night trying to get it to work and only got through twice (played 1.5 ranked games). Do you think this is a problem with the internet service or the psn?
Also (this weekend isn't starting out too great) my friend was screwing around with the PS3 web browser and went on some sites that I didn't really want on my PS3. So today I deleted all the cookies, cache, and authorization stuff under the web browser menu. I then booted up resistance to play the campaign mode a little, but all my data was gone! I looked under the game section of the PS3 xmb and it said that the data was corrupted. I was pretty far into the game too...So this royally sucks. Is it my fault for deleting that stuff or is there some kind of bug?

I've read through this whole "issue" thread and haven't seen anybody with my problem.
What I have seems like a disk read error of some kind. What has been happening is when playing resistance, after about a half an hour the ps3 starts making this grrr sound and next time it has to load it can't. It just sits there untill I get impatient and reset it. Then the only way to get the disk out is to hold the eject button and force it. Afterwords, just to make me smile it has to sit in stand-by for a while before it will accept a disk again.
It has happened on a movie also, but that was just about right away (not after 1/2 hour)
I know I need to call sony, I just wanted to throw this out there in case somebody else had this issue.

Hi guys !
I have a PS3 60 gigs and I need your help !
I have some problems with some games.
Madden 07. The picture always freeze after the first play in a game. The sound is ok (I hear the "beep" in the menu). But the picture is always the same on the TV. So I can't plau the game. (I try 2 copies og Madden)
NBA 07 When I lead the game, the game freeze when "THX" appear on screen. No sound, nothing. I never came to the menu :-( (I also try 2 copies)
Call Of Duty 3 ! I played for about 2 hours with no problems. Now, when I load the game. My Ps3 turns off with the red led flashing (it mean the console is too hot but it's impossible). I does that after 2 min of gaming.
Blazing Angels. I can't hear the voice of the other pilots when i'm playing the game. Everything else is ok !
The DEMO of Formula One, freeze after 30 seconds !
I also have these games and THEY ARE ALL FINE (no problem)
Untold Legends, Resistance, Neef For Speed, NHL2k7, Tiger Woods 07, Genji, Tony Hawk, Marvl Ultimate Alliance
I use my PS2 component cable, optical output. On a 55 inches LCD projection Hitachi.
I you have some ideas .. plese let me know !

i've had that same issue on blazing angels. i hear all the sounds of war but no people. resistance does so much worse for me, so many glitches all the time inclusing missing maps and only skyboxes fog and ammo, no gameplay sounds but voices are there, so some lighting issues. maybe its the bluray disk maufacturing facilitys and something at fault there.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

I still am having a problem connecting to the PlayStation Network and accessing the internet. When i try to connect to the Playstation network it says "An error has occured. You have been signed out of PLAYSTATION Network.(80710B23)"
Its been a while since it has been like that, and i couldn't call playstation because i called to late (8:20pm pacific time) and realy want to find a solution so i can start playin demos especially hearing a tekken 5 demo out.

When I start up it askes me to press the PS bitton on my controler and I do... but it asks me to press it like every muniute... over and over agin! Dose anyone know why it dose this?

Hmmm... It is because of my microwave... that is weird... the controlers are BluTooth so it shouldn't afect it... Hmmm... every time I fire up my Microwave it starts to treak out! I am going to call sony and bitch at em!

ive neer had issues with a microwave interfereing with my controller, even next to it. if it does, then by all means please BUY A NEW MICROWAVE. you are erradiating yourself with ultra high ghz's. i rarly have interfereance, and its only when a bunch of 2.4ghz appliences are going on in very close roximity to the gamng zone. even then so its not all that common.

I think my PS3 has only froze once. And I thought it had an overheating problem but I fixed that by putting it in a more open space. Even so, with the cost of a PS3, I think I'm going to try and replace it with a new one before my 1 year manufacture's warranty is over.

Not funny at your situation, but the sony controller is interferred with the Microwave. That's not good.
And what anubis is saying is right. Your microwave might expose too many radiation, please be careful. You can get cancer from it, which leads to death.
Does anyone know when the next shipment of PS3 is? I'm living in Southern California and the stores that I am buying from is Best Buy, Fry's Electronic, Target, Walmart and EBGames.

I finally found a solution for Blazing Angels You must set your PS3 to display in 720p (and not in 1080i). This way, you'll have the voice of your teammates.
