do i need a specific xbox 360 to play backed up games?
and do i need a specific dvd burner aswell?
sorry im a TOTAL noob on xbox 360's! lol

Do I need to get the connectivity kit if I have Slax and 3112 chipset. Also, could I just get the usb x360 usb and not worry about slax or 3112.

No you don't need the connectivity kit if you have slax and a sil3112.
About the 360USB, I wouldn't.

I have the same set. But some games come up with region error. Does anyone know what to do? Please advice......Thanks.

Region error means you are trying to play a PAL game on an NTSC console, or vice versa. The only thing you can do is to obtain the version of the game from your own Region. Most games are region locked, i.e. a PAL game will only play in a PAL machine...

Even the back up will be the same? Because I have a PAL Xbox, and I back up NTSC game. Some will work, but some will not work? Is there any way to make it work? Thanks in Advance.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT COPYING A BACKUP DISC FOR MY MODDED XBOX WHAT ALL DO YOU NEED TO DO THAT. BECAUSE I USED A SAMSUNG BURNER. RIDATA AND VEBERTIM DISC ALONG WITH Nero AND ONE TIME CLONECD AND NONE OF THIS WORK. IT JUST SAYS UNREADABLE DISC. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG BECAUSE THE BACKUPS WORK FINE IN MY XBOX/ WHAT THE PROBLEM

Don't use Nero. Use CloneCD and burn at 4x
And stop yelling. All CAPS is coinsidered YELLING.

Like I said, if the game is region free, then it doesn't matter. If it is region locked, there is NO WAY around that and you'll just waste a DVD+R DL disc.

I tryed to use Nero and clonecd and neither one of them worked. the games don't play. does the burner matter. sorry about the caps

Can these backed up games be played on xbox live? I am getting my 360 in a few days. Hopefully it will have the right dvd rom drive, so I can mod it. If not, can I buy the hitachi drive or am I stuck with an unmoddable 360? Thanks for any help on the subject.

okay, now is there a way that microsoft can detect this and somehow ban your xblive or otherwise disable your 360 somehow (now or future)? I know they do that on the original xbox if you play with a backed up game.

as of now there as been no reports of anyone being banned 1/1/07 i cannot predict the future ...LOL .... it is only a firmware update.

haha...happy new year!
anyway, I realize no one can predict the future, but I would think microsoft is gonna make an update of some sort, to either disable your xbox for "cheating," to get rid of piracy or make you update the firmware to play newer games. Anyone feel the same way, or is there no way for them to tell? Pretty new to the firmware, on these 360's.
I have a PSP, and I know that for some games, you have to update the firmware to play them or they will not work. Any way microsoft will do this for the 360? I am guessing that spending all that money on what is needed for making backups is useless if they can break it....
can someone tell their feelings on this?

im sure the guys who created this software so our 360's will play backups would come up with a fix ... no matter what it is only a matter of time before a fix is made / created .... m$ have to tread carefully here ,look what happened to sony with there music cd's $$$$$

I was just wondering which is better, buying a mod chip or this way? Also if you buy a mod chip in the future would it become out of date and not play some of the newer burned games?

This is a dumb question, but how do you fully install the xeno kit? what is the bracket looking piece used for and can I set it up so I don't have to open the case any more?
