i do see their reasoning-they waited for the uk launch because they wanted everyone to have access to the loader. now that there is something different in hte hardware and it doesn't work, they're going to refine it. i updated because i'm really impatient and i want to play online. i think paradox's mistake was releasing so much info too early, which got everyone revved up.

well if PAL is the only problem, then they should release the NTSC version which i assume works since it wasn't mentioned as a problem.

If they don't release this because of PAL it's kind of disapointing. PAL people will just have to wait longer like they did for ps3. I'm not trying to be mean. Just a point because im on NTSC and waiting.
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

Well it's been about what hints paradox has left us, and us wanting the iso loader to come out really badly and why are they delaying it. We have also talked about new games that come out. Mostly though just been about discussion of paradox truth or bs.

if they ARE holding the NTSC version back because of PAL, i'm sure the PAL people would want the NTSC version to be released so at least they know that the NTSC version is real and works and will eventually be available on PAL. i think it would be reassuring for them.

Note from PDX
Quote: Well where should I start? Seems there have been a large number of LEECHERS moaning about our lack of 'special notes' or the fact we haven't released a 'loader' for PS3 titles - something which I feel is bang out of order since none of you f*ckwits have the slightest idea of what is involved to produce this.
We have been working on something for a while in which yes we have dropped some hints in some areas not for you to think 'the loader will be released soon' - more so we've hit a stumbling block lets see if anyone else can help get us past this stumbling block - Something which had worked previously for other problems. But what do I see now? We give a great big pat on the back to someone who did a great job for a similar thing on the PSP and he has the nerve to have a go at US! NO Alej... P. B. we dont need help from outside, if we need help we will ask it directly to the person!
Not with the help of a simple txt messages which is public! We rather play a match of football against you on your brother stadium name.. then some kind of lame war! Respect to you! And not to a friend who thinks hes god! Even we are not GODS!
So.....where are we now?? Quite simply another stumbling block. We've been happly chugging along getting nice progress then got a PAL PS3 and found it didnt work like it supposed to be! - seems PAL is different in some ways, and no we know peoples will think all firmwares are the same, so why would there be a different? simple answer "Hardware". So were now trying to work on a solution to this.
So an ETA on this??? Could anyone please measure a piece of string!! All we can say is it will be ready when its ready. Were not the type of group that releases shoddy goods so sit back and give us the time required to sort it.
And to all those b*tching in forums STFU - if you wanna b*tch write your own - oh sorry forgot your thick as fcuk and your knowledge is limited to FTP downloads and WinRAR.....
And finally....you need to remember we dont always hang around as the boss/PDX or whatever but what you don't realize is without us you wouldn't have been able to get to where you are today.

lol, who cares when they release it, we cant do crap with the games, i say dont even work on the games until we can actually play them on the ps3 from the HDD.... so pointless, they are happy for another game release when we cant do anything with it

Hi guys,
By: "Now just remember who made summer of 2007 the best.", I think they meant: "We will make the summer of 20007 the best, and you should remember it.", when it happens.
So they might be saying that they will release the loader before the summer so that we can have a great summer! :)
Hmm, is my theory too far-fetched?!

I really hope they release it before the summer. So many games coming out that I want to play..
I'm hesitant to buy an external hard drive (not internal, because I don't really see the point in that - it costs more for less storage) because I don't know if there will be certain limitations as far as compatibility goes. For instance, I've read about the formatting of the hard drive (I know that you can always change that) and also the speed, such as the PS3 working best with a hard drive at its own speed (not the 7200rpm one, or whatever it is). And I'm also hesitant to install any stuff like Linux because I'm thinking we might not need it.
*I plan to buy an external hard drive really soon (need it to back up my computer files because I'm going to clean install vista again). I'm hoping I'll be able partition it so that it will be part NTFS and part FAT32, for use with both my laptop and PS3. The only thing I'm unsure of is the rpm speed the PS3 can handle/works best with. Will a faster rpm speed (7200rpm) make things unstable, since the PS3 comes with a 5400rpm drive?

A guy over there in the forums in making some big progress. He was able to load a film iso in linux and i believe he crashed it to get to xmb and the film worked. And he is still experimenting with things. He has 1.60 too! there may be hope even if we update!!

I wish they would just release the loader. I don't want to screw with my PS3 until I know for sure that I have to. As for the 1.60 firmware, I don't really need it. All I've been doing is playing Resistance offline/co-op and some PS2 games. If I had broadband internet, then I would definitely have upgraded firmwares by now. But since I don't need to play online, I'm alright holding off on the firmware updates.
