AnyDVD History
6.0.8.8 2006 11 26- New: Added "Aggressive I/O Mode" checkbox.
Enable the "highly aggressive I/O mode" only, if you use software which
otherwise will not see AnyDVD's magic, like InterVideo DVDCopy,
1-click DVD-Copy or Pinnacle Instant copy.
"Aggressive I/O Mode" should not be necessary if you use well designed
software. Using "Aggressive I/O Mode" may degrade system stability.
"Aggressive I/O Mode" is not available and not required in Windows 9X/ME.
- Change: Removed "Safe Mode" checkbox
- Change: Improved "Jump directly to Title Menu" function (change in
6.0.8.5)
- Fix: Compatibility problems and crashes with some system configurations
introduced in 6.0.8.5. Sorry.

Thanks to Slysoft! Should end some problems for the people here. I'm glad they're hard at work like usual.

As I have said many times before, Slysoft is The Best! about 5 days to fix issues with some configurations,Awesome! I was not having any trouble with the last release, but I know many were. They fixed it. How's that for a Extremely Reputable Company! Thanks Slysoft!
My only regret is that I did not buy ALL 3 Slysoft products I Love in a "Bundle" at once. I bought AnyDVD & CloneDVD 2 seperately after trying them.

I must jump on the bandwagon as well. I had no probs on my desktop, but BSOD on my laptop with 6.0.8.5 (reverting to 6.0.8.2 remedied this, though). SlySoft is always on point!!! Money WELL spent IMO... TOP NOTCH support!
EDIT: Worthwhile investment

well...... I'm just weiry....why? Because Slysoft is such a great company and I know BIG BROTHER is seeing them! I know that once we get a great product like AnyDVD and others that Slysoft produces BIG BROTHER will try to shut them down, like they did to LightningUK and DVDDecrypter! I hate waiting for the next shoe to drop!!!! but we will cross that bridge when it comes ..... no use worrying about it now! Long Live SlySoft!!!!

Has anyone tried this with Recode 2?

It's not necessary to use the highly aggressive I/O mode with Recode2 . . Recode2 has no problems recognizing AnyDVDs magic . .
I think that if I had a program that didn't work well with AnyDVD . . I'd uninstall and replace the POS !

In order for me to use Recode 2,I have to rip first then run Recode 2.
AnyDvd will let me run Recode through it's initial analyzing process, but after I finish trimming up the movie, I go to Advanced Analysis and I always get an error. Thats why I always rip first then run Recode.
I was wondering if AnyDvd's new aggressive mode would let Recode act like DvdShrink from the past.(Skipping the rip step)

Comparing an outdated version of AnyDVD to an outdated anti-virus program is like comparing a donkey to a mushroom . . .

Why?
AnyDVD is constantly updated because of new protections.
Anti virus software is constantly because of new malware.

Like ireland, I have a computer that's not on the 'net . . I have a very old version of AnyDVD on it and have NEVER had any issues 'backing up' any DVDs, including very new Sony and Disney releases . .

I can't believe that just because your computer doesn't go on the net that an older version of AnyDVD can break the new encryptions of Sony and Disney movies? what versions are you using in that NO NO NET computer? It's inevitable that you will come across a DVD that the old AnyDVD won't be able to handle. just because the computer is not a NET computer doesn't mean that AnyDVD will last forever and do all the DVDs forever! does that make sense?

@Ireland and Catfreak,
Your computer that doesn't go to the net, what version of windows? I would assume that you don't update each month (XP if that is what you are using)?
I believe you. Do you think this has something to do with XP updates? It's the only way I can make sense of it.
