Haha.
With a name like PS4life, do you expect anyone to take you seriously??
You are a sad sad fanboy. Kthxbye.
How about this.
In recent news Gamespot did a side by side comparison show games like NFS carbon (developed for both platforms, not a port) ,tiger woods (Again, not a port), Madden 07 (Again, developed for both platforms) and guess what. They look suprisly similar. Note the 360s lack of jaggies in the last xmen shot, but note the increased detail in the trees of tiger woods. And of course there is the lighting differences.
And look at this.
Hmm, ps3 does'nt lack memoery, XDR memory is how fast?
psr's memory is 256MB
XDR Main RAM @3.2GHz
256MB GDDR3 VRAM @700MHz
while 360's is
? 512 MB of GDDR3 RAM
? 700 MHz of DDR
-unified
This guy is wrapped up in the numbers game. You cannot even compare these two systems with the numbers game, its impossible. Just compare the textures used ingame, compare the frame rates, and compare amount of particles on screen. And you will get the same answer 99% of developers are saying. The systems are on par, or very close to it.
And the argument about not being able to tap the power of the cell is also very foolish. Each console has not been extensivly developed for. to think that the ps3 will become leaps and bounds better than the 360 in a year is rubbish. The facts are right now is that the ps3 has worse textures and frame rate on every multiplatform game, well except tiger woods. The majority of 360 games are only using one core, and the 360 excells in parallel code.
Both systems are going to be amazing next year, as long as Sony can get you that console. Becasue we all know the Sony product will sell. Heck, im buying one. But to think that one will be leaps or the other is nonsense.

lol, it is impossable for the 360 to use one core, maybe for the game itself, but there are threads being used for sound, disc read, overal redurency, Operating system...
This is like saying dual core processors can use one core and not use the other.

Heh, developers for these games had much more time to play arround with the 360 dev kits than they had tie to play arround with the ps3 dev kits. It's all a matter of time...
It's like...
You have 1 month to play and learn to use photoshop CS2
and then you have 5 months to learn and to use flash or ilistrator..
Which would look better?

k forget that.
Game developers have more experience with the 360 dev kits than they have with the PS3 dev kits. It is also easier to make games for the 360 since microsoft made it easy to program games on this machine.
Therefor, untill developers get used to the PS3 dev kits some more and are more experienced with it, 360 games will look a little better.
But, when i look at these screenshots, i think these some games can even run on a PS2... so no biggy

Well IMHO the whole, "they only had the dev kits for a couple months is BS". The PS3 dev kits have been released since the final specs were released a year ago.
Games like Project 8, COD3 and tiger woods had the exact same dev time. They will get better, but i will say again, each system will be on par with earch other.
Look at NBA07 developed by SCEA. This true 1080p, 60fps looks very sub par. And plays very sub par. I expect more from a Sony made exclusive.
Fight Night Round 3 was said to be the X360 killer. It was said to have true 1080p, better lighting, and many other features. EA spent an extra 9 months! on the PS3 version. And look at the results, when compared to the 360 version its lacks detail, proper lighting, and IMHO they made it worse.
Im done waiting on Sony false hopes and promises. I have every sony console including my PSP. But i will not be buying a PS3 until they can prove its not a dud. Final Motorstorm is looking a lot better, but its not all rendered, much like GT HD. Its just tracks built around hi res pictures, which again IMO is not acceptable, and proves how much they over hyped and under delivered this gen. Then there is the scaling issues, controller issues, BC games look horable, and even with less textures and detail, the games still shutter more than the 360 couterparts. Everyone should buy what they want, but do your own research, and dont just buy on namesake.

i think ju are the crack my friend PS3 will rip the competion and the final specs thing full of bs i know people that are in the industry high up and they have told my dad which told me they got those "kit" as a base so they could start there games up so the games u see now is just a base wait a 1 year or so then you will see the 360 well "roll away in fear" lol

Plain and simple...
Xbox360 has a 1 year lead time for programming and the PS3 right out the box is very close, conclusion....imagine what is in store for the PS3 in the future. THAT kids is what it boils down too, the 360 is probably close to 90% MAXED out already! While the PS3 has LOTS of room to grow.
Think about it, you have a system that is LIMITED to almost 9 gigabytes of information on a Dual Layer DVD when the other system has about 5 1/2 times the amount of data information capable (BD DL)....so developers have to be real careful with the amount of "stuff" they put on an Xbox where the PS3 has room.
When a game like MGS4 comes out it will be a no contest. Funny how people swear comparing a system with a whole year of dev is "better" when they are truly proving the PS3's strong point.

Yeah exactly and if you look at fight night round 3 for the ps3 compared to the xbox 360 the ps3 version is better because it had more time put into it. The graphics are better on the ps3 plus the ps3 has new modes that the 360 dose not have.

I still don't understand why some of you keep insisting on the "developers havent had enough time" statement? Which is complete and utter crap and there is proof all over the internet about when the dev kits where released/revealed to developers.
Here is one:
http://au.ps3.ign.com/articles/628/628048p1.html
and here is another: http://news.gaminghorizon.com/media2/1119440880.1388.html
notice how they are dated back over a yr ago?
Maybe you guys could of had a valid point/argument if you did some proper research but you all run out of steam because you dont have the proof and knowledge to back anything up and like making excuses for $ony's marketing F**# ups.
Also stop bringing up the $ony specs & numbers game and try argue that point because it's been done to death and absolutely means nothing on paper!
Also Kookoo67 you have missed some crucial information about the numbers game, EDram. If you like i will explain what the edram does and what type of advantages it has in real world performance and how much more bandwidth the 360 has over the ps3 because of it, or you can simply read this and maybe learn a thing or two:
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1818127,00.asp
In the meantime do your research please - you all seem think you're technology and marketing experts and i bet that 90% of you are still in high school judging by all your spelling errors, grammar and knowledgable content.

well games and systems generally progress through the years, so considering the ps3 and 360 are on par or relatively close to being on par it would only seem reassuring that given time, games on the ps3 will surely surpass their counterpart. the only catch to this is not the ps3 and its capabilities, but how far or how willing devs will be when it comes to utilizing all that the ps3 offers. the ps3 is a system that is meant for progression and expansion, while in my mind the 360 will peak before the ps3 really gets rolling...
i dunno last gen it was the games that made all the difference not graphics. the biggiest leg up xbox had over playstation was in this department so given that now playstation is apparanlty on the same page, it is really another added benefit...
i happen to be a fairly big hockey fan, actually Sabres fan. for those who don't already know we changed our logo and uniforms this past summer. the jerseys are i believe the number 1 selling jersey in the NHL, and people are giving away their first borns for tickets and apparal...im only kidding, but it is quite crazy. anyway i bought NHL 2k7, which happens to be the ONLY hockey game that has the new Buffalo Sabres uniforms and although the game may not look as great as EA's NHL game or have the great commentary like on the 360, it sure is freakin fun to play and the logo and uniform top this one off. again its just one of those things that to some could be very small, but here its pretty wild and again its currently only a feature found on the ps3 title...
like i said earlier its about the games, and it took the 360 damn nearly a year to get their first real killer app, fortunately for ps3 owners (IMO) the selection won't be as limited nor will we have to wait that long.

woah cowboy, before you go off on your tantrums please understand that regardless of when the kits were released DEVELOPERS FOR THE 360 STILL HAVE HAD ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE UNDER THEIR BELT in making games for that system. YES this is their second time around at making a COD title, so it only seems fitting that the title looks better, smoother, and a bit more fine tuned than others. the very same plagues, problems, glitches you speak of were very well apparant in the 360's launch titles. i won't even bring up madden 06 for the 360. you want to talk about a pathetic excuse for a game...also these games are simply ports, multiplatform, and LAUNCH titles. whether you feel FightNight is great or crappy, really is fine and dandy, but it boils down to the developers and how much they are willing to invest into the titles. you said before EA spent 20% or something more time developing this game, and that is what they have to show...well like i pointed out earlier, that could very well be a result to the fact that it is one of the first games ever developed by EA on the PS3, so maybe development did not go as planned. maybe the next FightNight will be up to your standards or what you may have expected, but last time i checked the "Playstation 3" was not developing any games, so really take your anger out on the devs if you are unhappy. i really don't think it is a coincidence that madden 06 and FightNight are made by EA..the simplest example is look at a ps2 launch title and campare that to God of War, and look how far games progress from launch to that point...
basically what i am trying to say is generally the first time you do something new to you, things don't always go as planned. as you work you gain experience and learn that your first approach to accomplish something isn't always the best route. say developers continually ran into snags when developing COD2 for the 360, but later figured out the correct algorithm. when developing for COD3 they applied and tweaked said algorithm which in return saved them time and allowed them to concentrate on other areas. devs may not have been finding themselves facing the same difficulities they encountered when making COD2, or if they faced similar problems to those of COD2 they knew how to correct those, rather wasting countless hours trying to debug thousands of lines of code. im not saying this is what happend, but i would think when it comes to developing for a system it is only beneficial to have experience and a foundation. so really the year headstart would only be an asset for 360 devs not to mention that the ps3 and cell are new to developers. it'll be interesting to see how these games compare next year and the year after...call me an optomist, sony PRrep, or fanboy i could careless.
you have to crawl before you walk, walk before you run so make of this what you please, but also take things for what they are worth. quite trying to make something of nothing, but then again you did your "research" and got your "facts" from wherever. i find it hard to believe that unless you have the system, played any and all games, faced system glitches, or controller bugs that someone could successfully do research on a gaming system especially considering all the rumors and false reports about the ps3 before it launched. or are you basically putting together blurbs from articles that are someone else's opinion? the launch titles are pretty respectable and the ps3 doesn't suffer from half the problems that plagued the 360 at launch. again name w/e problems you may have heard of and argue that, but i am saying there is not the overwhelming outcry like we saw with the 360. most owners knew they were taking a risk when buying a ps3 at launch, and fortunately for myself, i haven't suffered from any setbacks.
edit:
here is a clip from an interview
Quote: "...I think the biggest difference is that the 360 has been in our hands longer, and I'll be totally honest that Microsoft's development tools are better, so you can compile faster, you can debug quicker. PS3 is catching up though ? PS3 tools are already better than the PS2 ones.
