I agree, there have a couple new movies that did come out last week people had trouble with, I didnt have trouble with either of them, but this Kings did it, and of course it's Columbia & Sony made, so why am I not suprised, I think they even threw something newer at us again from last week, I can see especially with sony this is gonna be a cat and mouse game all the time, but I side with the slysoft guys, I think they will kick sony's ass everytime, so yes I'm waiting for another update and will try again.

@fredbun, I keep my old versions going back to AnyDVD 5.9.6.1 just in case trouble like the ones seen with AnyDVD 6.0.9.2 occur. Just uninstall AnyDVD but when asked would you like to keep the registry click yes. Then reinstal which ever you have. I don't know how many people use Nero 7 Recode2, but again Inhighly recommend it. Version 6.0.9.0 works for "All The Kings Men" and if it doesn't, what message or error are you getting? Nero 6 Recode2 works as well. My educated guess is SlySoft may sometime manage to knock out a feature while updating AnyDVD to accommedate or improve a feature. It's actually understandable as encrypted DVD's manufactured to different regions respond differently to decrypting software. Versions 6.0.9.0 & 6.0.9.5 have worked fine for me. I recently updated CloneDVD2 to 2.9.0.3 which I also use to edit ("Movie Only" w/menus) and handle large DVD files. I have older PC which is slower and a newer PC which is better than average but I have to say that, the slow 1.7 processor and 256 ram still functions with AnyDVD & Nero.:p

n2dvd, thanks for the info, I'm still kinds worried about backtracking my AnyDVD updates, my luck it would be I'd lose the whole damn thing, still hoping AnyDVD will come up with a fix soon, they haven't yet, if worse comes to worse I might have to give your suggestion shot, for now just waiting for a quick fix from AnyDVD hopefully.

@fredbun, Do you have CloneDVD2 2.9.0.1 the previous version and AnyDVD 6.0.9.0? These two are all you will need. The lastet versions of either will work also AnyDVD 6.0.9.5, 6.0.9.7 and CloneDVD2 2.9.0.3 SlySoft resolved this trouble (looping warning) with AnyDVD version 6.0.9.5 .:p

i just wanted to add that i was able to burn half of the movies you guys are talking about with no problem. with AnyDVD 6.0.9.5 and dvdshrink 3.2 (with Nero). but now i seem to be having a problem burning any movie. even the ones that i ripped with dvdfab 2 weeks ago. i keep getting a message saying.... checking discs. there is not enough space to burn compilation to this disc. please insert a disc that has enough space... i have tried many discs and all the same thing. i tried to defrag and check for errors but same thing. i got it to work for one after i did a system restore. but i dont want to keep restoring after every dvd. my disc drive sometimes wont let me explore when this happens.

@magicmanx, I've seen that error before, have you checked your trash can for stored files? I dumped my trash can freeing up space on my hard drive for temp folders and this solved the problem for me.:P

For those having problems with AnyDVD, have you tried using the ripper and recording the decrypted files to the hard drive? Then use quick analysis with DVD Shrink or Recode2 to chech files on the HDD. If quick analysis works, Shrink will usually transcode the movie right. The AnyDVD ripper uses FixVTS to help correct DVD compliance. You can check at that point and open the files in a player to see if they're playing right after the rip. That way you know if the problem is with the decryption or the transcoder. Once you get good decrypted files just about any transcoder software will work, unless the Video_TS folder is huge.

RI4M does a good job too. Over the Hedge wouldn't record with 6.0.9.5 AnyDVD and I used RipIt4Me to decrypt it. Create the PSL files for DVD Decrypter with RI4M and rip with DVD Decrypter. Once ripped open in Shrink. If there is a problem the wizard will tell you and you use FixVTS. Then open in Shrink to check with quick analysis. Then either use Shrink to transcode or close shrink and use the good files in the program you want.

With that error message it's telling you your recordable DVD doesn't have enough capacity to record the movie you transcoded with Shrink. What size is the transcoded file and what size disc are you burning to? If you can't find your Shrink temp folder, just transcode to the hard drive and you can burn with Nero Express, DVD Decrypter, imgBurn or whatever from the HDD. Just remember where you put the folder. You can do a good check on the transcoded files to check the size and see how well it plays before burning a disc. To burn with Decrypter you have to create a ISO and if you do that, to open it on the PC to view you need a virtual drive set up.

What size is the file that Shrink created to be burned? The 50% or above is a compression ratio (original size to compressed size). I'd like to know the physical size of the folder that Shrink is creating to burn.

4.37 is the max, so 4.35 should work. Did you try ripping the files to the HD, then turn AnyDVD off (AnyDVD can sometimes interfere with other programs), then burn from the hard drive? Separating the job into parts might show where the problem is. Why are you using AnyDVD with movies you previously ripped with DVDFab? If the problem persists, delete, run a registry cleaner, and then reload the software. I've used Shrink with Nero 6 and 7 without a problem. I've noticed problems with different versions of Nero updates. I stopped the updates unless there is something I really need from one. Nero has proven they don't always get it right. Be sure you're using a version that worked well in the past.

as I explained before, it was the first time AnyDVD and clone could not work, it was All the Kings Men, I had 9.7 and yesterday downloaded 9.9, with 9.7 it would not load up, everything was blank, with 9.9 as I inserted the copy into my player and it did stay blank for about a minute than it did load up, clicking on play it would not work, it would just shut down and go back to the players screen, I pressed play again and the movie screen came up again but this time I clicked on feature select, that way it worked, watched the whole movie no problem. This a tricky one, first time sony gave AnyDVD and clone a problem. But if I can watch the movie from feature select I'm ok with it.

Same thing happened to me on LIES & ALIBIS .Movie & menu.
Thru Clone-deletes FBI & opens to menu-click play & takes 8 to 10
seconds to open movie.
Little faster in Nero.
Copy on DL in Clone & everything on disk is copied & plays perfect

Stick with the Verbatim DL disks, they seem to be the most reliable of all. Personally I've had good luck with the Office Depot (Ritek) brand.

Can anyone help me with the movie Shottas? It is a sony movie and nothing seems to work. I don't have AnyDVD and shrink, ripit4me and dvdfab. Dvdfab usually always works but I get "Get DVD information fail. 4096". On shrink I get "Invalid DVD navigation structure". On the Ripit4me I get "VTS 10 LU1 declare 28928 PGCs, this is probably bogus. I will only keep the first 999". Then I press ok and the INVALID COMMAND! window keeps popping up and I can't continue. 've also tied DVD Decrypter but it gets too many errors and I cannot fix them with PGCedit as there are no protected sectors to export? Attack Force and all the rest of the movies in this forum I have had no problem with just using shrink and dvdfab. So can anyone help without telling me to use AnyDVD?
