Hi, is there a way to load ISOs/CSOs through a USB connection on a TA-082 with 3.03OE-C?? (I can upgrade to 3.10A' if it needs be).
There's a fantastic guide by ThisDude here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/455639 I tried it and it worked.. on my non TA-082 PSP though... And he clearly mentions that the guide isn't compatible with TA-082 boards.

Thank you guys for staring a FAQ centet to get rid of all the garbage question's that get asked a million times a day. Mucho Gracias!
And as far as the USB image loading I think you'r better off just buying a mem stick. There is so much you can screw up with doing that. If not, good luck!

there is a usb plugin that makes your games appear as if on memstick
its brilliant
if i find where it is on my pc i'll post it

better idea
do a search for USB_Mod_v4b_For_3.10_OE-A.rar on google
warning though
it involves flashing into flash0 so theres a minor chance of bricking
but all in all, i found the procedure easy enough
just follow the readme and you should be fine

Thanks dude, I think that's exactly what I was looking for!! Though mine is a TA-082 PSP, and I dont want an expensive brick >_< !

no worries
if you can run 3.10OE-A
then you can run this mod
it involves going into advanced in recovery options and toggling USB for flash0
so its fairly easy

why dont you use D_A's ta-082 downgrader
1.5 is alot more devhook friendly
but then why stop there
up it to 3.10OE-A

oh and your devhook wont run in 2.71HEND until you get a devhook thats been hex edited to run in 2.71

i have a few questions of my own, yesterday i was able to downgrade my psp back to 1.5 then i upgraded it to 3.10 OE-A
can i still play PSP roms or isos or whatever their name is with that custom version? if so how?
i have downloaded PSP Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX USA, when i unzip the rar i get a 1K file called UMD_DATA and a folder called PSP_GAME, inside that folder there are 2 other folders called SYSDIR and USRDIR (there are a LOT of files inside those folders so i´m not gonna name them), 2 PNG images and a file called PARAM.SFO
where do i put the game inside my PSP? do i need a program to start it? if so which?
a friend gave me a program called device hook V0.46 lancher does that help?

put it all in an iso using a magiciso or something simular
then download umdsign and sign the iso
should be smooth sailing from there

EH? Download UMDGEN 4.00 drag an drop the said files, save as CSO or ISO , and it will create it for you. No need for half a dozen programs.

i used the UMDGEN V 4.00 but when i start the game, he enters it normaly then i get a message saying no system data found that i need at least 256K of free space on my memory stick? the weird thing is i have 1.4 Gigas of free space

you may need to configure padding in umdgen
sudds,

Sup guys, ya I gotta noob question here. Ive read through this whole thread and im still confused. I got the psp to play the cso's pretty smoothly (thanks to afterdawn and the cool people!!) but its the ISO torrent files that stumps me.
After downloading it, it gives me the PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA.bin WinRAR file. So I downloaded UMDGEN and I dropped these two folders in the program to save it as a iso file. After it saves, it gives me ANOTHER file with the "stacks of books" icon for a winwar file. So I put this new "stacks of books" save in the ISO folder of my memory stick. But as a load the game it just stays black, doesnt load.
Im I doing the converting process wrong? Im i missing steps between or after this? Thanks for the time!

WinRAR can open iso's so thats why it comes up as a stack of books.
if your iso doesnt load then it may be corrupted.
and are you sure the original file is .rar
it could be an iso

well first i would advise you to upgrade your psp to a custom version like 3.10 OE-A
now here´s how i do it to play my games, i download them and unzip them, if they have files called UMD_DATA and a folder called PSP GAME then use UMDGEN on them, it will turn them into an iso format and sign them at the same time.
Now here´s the last thing to do create a folder named ISO on the root of your PSP then put the iso inside and thats it
note: you need a GAME umd (Like GTA) inside the psp to play dowloaded games,
