Any way if u try this on OE-B youl liek it but some icons will dissapar so...

@lord_pleb: sorry it took so long to respond. My firmware is 2.71 with a TA-082 motherboard. Why cant anybody upgrade to "B"?

to the author of this guide...
wow...it takes so long to make the psar file or w/e... it's finally extracting and packing 3.02 fimware... may b u shud note that it takes a long time :o

Hey guys, this is the best tutorial thread I've seen on all the forums for going from a TA-082 with 2.71 to 3.02 OE-B. I haven't tried it yet (I just got my PSP for Christmas a few days ago, and I don't have a memory stick yet!), but it looks solid.
The one part that I guess could be simpler, if you're going the easy-installer route, is Chaos Zero's installer for going from 1.5 to 3.02 OE-A. You can find it at

This seems a bit easier than the manual method you suggest. Is there any reason not to go with Chaos Zero's installer?

i got 302 oe-a installed and running but when i load the update file i get the game could not be started... does anyone know a fix to that..i tried reloading it and nothing

@gzach, the Xmb thingis way cooler bro, and gamebooots, go to psp-hacks.com adn then the forums and then the Gameboot section.
Cintro is also good, i sue it man and on a cold reboot it boots the tokyo drift .PMF really cool lol.

delte everything except GAME150.
Go inside GAME150 an ddelte everything in that.
Go inside GAME and delte everything in that.
Go inside PHOTO and delte
Next to teh fodler PSP (root) delte all the files.
Basically de;te everything every were and iside every fodler.

Touran22, what an excellent guide. I followed it to the letter and everything is cool!!! There was just one thing for me, I didn't have a GAME150 folder, so I just created it. I haven't deleted all the files in the folders you mentioned, I'll do that next. Once again thanks a lot!!!!

ok i just ran eveerything and 302oe-b is working fine. the only question i got is that on another post it says to keep the rcovery folder. but i believe i may have deleted that so. can i still switch to 1.50 when i want. or how do i get the folder back

by the way, im on 1.50 emulating 3.03. problem is i still cant run the psx games... can someone provide me with a detailed tutorial... ill check it out later... im sleepy... goodnight all... happy new year in advance.

ok let me get this straght... u can't play psx games on emulated 3.03/02/01/0
ONLY on 3.02 OE-B <--- reason on OE-A/B the official ps1 emulater is hacked but on devhook its still intact.
So if you on 1.5 get OE-B!

It doesnt matter if you've delted the recovery (so have i) when ever u need it, just make it again! and yes u can still access recovery with out and use its features!
You can also recover, just make the folder again :)

Hey I'm new to the PSP hacking, but i read all the posts about this. This is for downgrading a ta-082 FW 2.7 to 1.50, but i have a PSP ta-082 with FW 2.60. I'm Wondering if i need, or if there is a way to upgrade to 2.7, then softdown to 1.50. Basically im just wondering what i should do from 2.6, up to 2.7 then down to 1.5 or is there nothing i can do? thx for the help. I gotta go to work ill check this out when i get off.

just upgrade your psp by folloewing this link http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/525 then follow this great guide by touran22 & EuroStylz and your psp is downgraded

i dwngraded to 1.5 successfully, yesterday.
question: do i need to wait for my battery to charge back up to 75% before i try to put 3.02 OE-B on it?

i have recently downgrade and upgrade to 3.02 OE-B and i cannot load homebrew applications (i tryed irshell and PSP media player).
before that i have HEND & Devhook and thy work just fine
my question is if i still need devhook to lunch them or there is another way?

ok... so as i've said i am on 3.03 firmware, could someone instruct me as how to reflash the damn thing... i really want to get psx on my psp. someone teach me how to do the whole thing.... starting from removing 3.03...
