I'm really not sure what your questions is, can you elaborate a little more?

My first suggestion would be to make sure your AnyDVD is the most current version available.

I also tried to rip Crank tonight and Nothing! DVD Shrink says something about the program state or something state. My eyes are very tired right now for trying so long! It wont even analyze, it just stays on 0 percent and thats it! Anybody know why it does this?

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble trying to rip the movie. I was able to rip Crank last night using Clonedvd2. Have you tried using that software? FWIW, Clonedvd2 was able to compress the movie (with menu added) at 100%. It could be a software conflict issue.

Best of luck.

Yeah, I don't know why you're having a problem. I have the actual paid version of AnyDVD 6102 and I haven't received any problems.

I also just ripped Crank successfully with AnyDVD. I don't know why you're having problems either. Try ripping it first with DVDFab. It's free and current.

Use Vob Blanker. REMOVE VTS_01 AND VTS_02 and any dvd will work just fine. Realize this: They are not going to make it easy to back things up!

I used ripit4me, Fix vts DVD and decrypter and i have Nero 7 Permium which does the same thing as DVD Shrink and Nero burning ROM,. Try to see if it works for you. Good luck

Please, don?t interrupt me when I?m asking a rhetorical question.

people, people, people. this might be my little stupid believe but, if you STOP on the fly decrypting, you will have no problems. i almost never, ever do on the fly decrypting. use one of this to systems before you compress with shrink, clonedvd2,recode2,1clickdvd or rebuilder.
1-ripit4me running the files thru fixvts, this is that safest method i know and the one that would give you the "cleanest" files.
2- fabdecrypter running the files thru VobBlanker, this a also a great combo to get very clean files.
PS: no on-the-fly decrypting.

Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

AnyDVD has a new update as of yesterday, go to the site and dl.

6.1.0.7 2007 01 14
- New: Added support for new versions of the SONY Arccos protection
to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
- New: Improved "Jump to title menu" with some discs containing
TV episodes
- New: Workaround for bug in I/O subsystem of Windows Vista,
which can cause BSOD with copy protected DVDs
- New: Workaround for problem with U3 USB memory sticks
- New: improved display of drive type in AnyDVD status and drive
selection window

Also it is recommended in the changelog from 6.1.0.0 on how to rip troublesome movies if you plan on using other sw to compress.

Quote:
- Note: It is recommended to use elby CloneDVD to rip instead of the
AnyDVD ripper, even if you prefer to use another program to compress
and/or burn (Set elby CloneDVD to DL burning and copy files to
harddisk). elby CloneDVD is available at http://www.slysoft.com

Whats up everyone. 1st post. I actually did not even have to use any dvd to rip CRANK. DVD Shrink was the only software that i used. Sometimes i use any dvd in the background with shrink. Never needed to use Vob Blanker or clone dvd for any dvds.

well if your backing up newer dvds DVD Shrink will need help with alot of titles being it hasn't been updated in a couple years

We shall go to the end,we shall fight in France,we shall fight on the seas and oceans,we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air,we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,we shall fight on the beaches,we shall fight on the landing grounds,we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,we shall fight in the hills;we shall never surrender
