I would recommend google, or searching www.wiikey.cn/resellers.html

And using one of their resellers services.

WiiKey's are going for around $30-$32 now and installs I am not to sure of. Make sure you get an official chip with a Hologram sticker, as there are many clone dealers out there.

oh cool, 30 dollars for a chip is not bad. that's real cheap. so u dont know any place where they can help u install it. i am kinda scared to take apart my wii and install the chip. i dont want to take the risk of breaking it.

Well i know the place I got my stuff from http://www.xbox-modchips.com/wii-mod-installations.htm

and they are official wiikey resellers... You could probably use this coupon code they sent me 10off for $10 savings, just mention you found out about them on afterdawn forums...

idk, is it a scam? i am kinda skeptical. i dont want to ship my wii to them and not returning my wii back. i want a store that i can trust, that i can go to, not having to ship to them and waiting for them to ship me back. do u have any of those stores that u could go and have them fix it in front of u? i dont mind paying 100 dollars or 150 dollars to get it install in front of me. i rather do that.

The reason I recommend the WiiKEY over most other chips is because it is far more supported in the modding scene. There are thousands and thousands more WiiKEY owners then cyclowiz owners, ive also know some cyclowiz owners to have their chips replaced by the wiikey.

If you run into problems with your wiikey chances are one of the thousands of others online may have run into this same problem and already have a solution for this.

I am sure there are some stores that will do this infront of you in your area but you would have to find this. Xbox-modchips.com is reliable and is a reseller of wiikey and I think they are becoming an official wiikey repair and installation center in the next few weeks.

This company has been in business for over 5 years, Ive done alot of business with them in that time and they always get the job done. Wii installations will not take much time and you can have your system back with a 1 year warranty in no time.

Also insure this with the shipping company and if its lost or stolen your covered, also your credit card company will protect you against fraudulent charges. I am sure they have better things to do then steal 1 wii and loose out on alot of other business for just one system.

thanks for the fast reply. how long does it ususally take for them to finish installing the mod and have it shipped back to u? i want an estimation of the total time frame. so is that where u got ur modchip wiikey installed at? Xbox-modchips.com. u said If you run into problems with your wiikey ? what kind of problems r u talking about? for some reason, cyclowiz costs more than wiikey. if wiikey like u said is better than cyclowiz, why is cyclowiz more pricier? once again thanks for the fast reply.

Cyclowiz is an outdated over priced POS

WiiKEY installed is $89.99 plus return shipping but if you use the $10 off coupon code i gave you 10off you will get this for $79.99 from a mod company that has been in business for over 5 years. That is an official WiiKey reseller and that offers a 1 year warranty on their mod work.

They have locations in Texas, Canada (ontario and BC), Australia, Singapore, New Zealand etc..

http://www.xbox-modchips.com/wii-mod-installations.htm

They even offer a repair service for those of you that have damaged your wii's when trying to install a chip: http://www.xbox-modchips.com/mod-repairs.htm

What I mean when I say if you run into problems with your mod is, say one day a game wont boot or you need to upgrade your chips firmware and are not sure how to... Since the WiiKEY is sooo popular it will be much easier for you to find someone else that has run into this problem before and has come up with a solution.

As far as how fast they are with wii's they usually have a very fast turn around usually the same day, if volume is high 1-3days.

But you cannot beat the warranty and the support services they offer, they have been around for a very long time.

Just let me know if you have anymore questions, I will try to answer them ASAP (as long as my stupid internet doesnt go out again)

wait n0n0_no you found a place charging you $95 just for the chip + installation or did you mean to say with installation???

and your talking USD right??

If its $95 for the chip only thats crazy price, go with the site I mentioned and use the coupon code to save $10... geez $95 for a wiikey I hope you just mis-typed that and it was for chip w/ install (but still that is too much)

You would burn it to a DVD I assume, there is not any hard drive space on the Wii for games to be loaded directly on to the system.

There are alot of forum topics about wii backups here, check them out :)

also make sure to use the 10off coupon and save yourself some cash and mention afterdawn...

Anyways I am gonna go watch a movie, I will check back later.

when i download the wii roms from torrentz. they are in ISO format. it's like a image file. all i do is burn it to a dvd and that's it? is there anything else i have to do? the wii system will automotically detect the disc? another thing will wiikey makes the wii system life span shorter? making it less durable?

The game discs are REGULAR dvd size, not the MINI DVD's they used with the GC... (with a mod and a new case a GC can allow for regular sized DVD's which made backups easy to make... as Mini DVD media is costly etc..)

As i mentioned before there are some topics in the wii forums here on afterdawn that speak all about backups and how to create them.

You have to remember to use good media, slower burn speeds etc.

The chip will not damage the consoles life span (at least I do not think it will... it shouldnt)

The only thing that may wear out before its time is the laser as it would be reading DVD-R media and that could strain it more (but perhaps I am wrong..) a replacement laser you can get for $40 - $50 installed I am sure. But that wouldnt happen for years.

I do not think the wiikey would damage the system file of the wii, since the Wiikey is REALLY a DRIVE CHIP (it is installed on the board of the DVD Drive in the wii allowing it to read burnt media like homebrew apps etc.)
