hey hex
the readme txt in the wininstaller has 1 line saying "- Execute the flasher and follow the instructions."
So does that mean after installation is done I need to manually flash the psp? if so, then how do I do it. Or will it be flashed automatically when i install the wininstaller?
thanks in advance!

ricojeans: im sorry but i think ur psp in unrecoverable. I think u can buy a mod chip or a new motherboard to make it start up again Ebay are selling some from Honk kong --> 250082106211 <-- Thats an ebay number (type that in the search bar). Sorry I dont know what else to suggest...i hate it when any psp bricks :-[.

Hexit...U said that you can add recovery mode AFTER ur psp bricks how can this be done, i mean shouldn't u intall it jus after the installation for 3.10OE-A?

I'm starting to understand a bit now, but that has completely thrown me off. Oh and ive done some research and found that the following firmwares are only compatable for the 3.10 a/a2 firmware :

1.5 custom
1.5 non custom (<-- the 1 i got :-])
2.71SE any ver
3.02OE any ver
3.03OE A/A(2)/B/C

However im still skeptical as i don't understand how your installer actually works. Does it place all the nessercery folders/files in the correct places on a memory card, and does it have a universal DATA.DXAR? or do i have to make my own? Again im sorry if this sounds a bit stupid but i gotta make sure.

Thanx in advance :-]

(ps. i had a huge fing nightmare that me psp bricked! Nooooo! again that kind made me crap me pants)

if you have a memory stick reader for your computer then you can copy the recovery files onto the memstick and perform the recovery if its a partial brick

Currently on my 7th PS3 and 4th Xbox, gotta love technology..

Gud day HEX! I've just installed the 3.03 OE-C Winstaller. It works fine! thank you so much. By the way I just want to ask something?I remember last time I format my removable drive(psp) on my PC. all the folders (ISO,GAMES,PSP games and etc.) was lost. I was planning to format again the removable drive. Im afraid that i might loose again the folders. I want to know once it happen what will I do to recover back all the folders. Which is better? do I format the removable drive or should I format it on my psp? and one thing I just check all the folders on my psp, I dindt see the video folders. I wonder where should I put my video. does MPEG,AVI are supported? Thanks in advance!

just format the memstick itself and not the removable drive and if theres no video folders then make one - ONLY MPEG-4 video format is supported officially

well i never removed my devhook files from flash because the installer does a logical format of flash0....devhook files are stored on flash1.....u should be ok....but it never hurts to remove them anyhow.
