I didnt download them i made them. the ipod one i borrowed from another set tho. oh same with the camera icon. the other 4 i made tho. my sig has the wave i made too.

u can link directly to sites....can't link directly to games however. but it doesn't matter 90 percent of the people here already know. this is the thread for winstaller so let's try to keep it somewhat on topic.

yes the files are the same. just a different engine now. I will be rebuilding the recovery winstaller too. I am also going to make each one separate making it easier on 56k users.

oh this version is fine, it works and all. unfortunately the eninge aint worth a velvet painting of a dolphin and a whale gettin' it on. The new one's should be out in the next day or two. Unless my PC feels like going through another catastrophic failure, then it might be a couple more days :D

wait when i was reading the readme it said it was the 3.03 oe-c updater it said the psp will become 3.10 oea
thats just a goof isnt it?

I found exactly what you're talkin about. entered the wrong variables when I was building it. Im going to change it right now and re upload it.

everybody here says stop using devhook and move onto this, I guess I will jump ship! I have 2.71, can I use devhook to emulate 1.5 and then use winstaller? Or would something like Xtrusion easy downgrader to 1.5 THEN winstaller work?

you might want to downgrade your 2.71 psp (google if you want to) then use the wininstaller. not sure what the installer has but wait till it comes out.

nothing extra in fact, just a different engine, new interface. basically just better then the last. im gonna start uploading the new 3.03 OE-C Winstaller here in a minute.

oh okay... so I should do it like this?
2.71>xtrusion downgrader>1.50>winstaller
does the winstaller work if I emulate 1.50 from devhook, that seems a bit easier but I don't want to screw it up.

no if u want to use custom firmware there is no emulating it. it has to be flashed to the psp.

hey hex..
i'm thinking of buying used psp 1.5 from ebay..but it doesn;t comes with the demo UMD. so if i buy any UMD game disk, will it allow me to play isos after installing this 3.03oe-c wininstaller?

i thought so, sorry for noob question hexitnow. Just started this stuff. So are you saying that downgraders like xtrusion flash the psp instead of emulate it? and after using a downgrader from 2.71 to 1.5, THEN I do winstaller for custom firmware? thanks so much this is awsome.

PSP's support all regions concerning games, it's the movies that are region protected. but even with registry hacks available in 3.03 OE-C you might be able to get past it.
@boafan
basically yes. u dont really need to worry about emulating firmware's because that's somewhat of an obsolete method.

hi there, i need some help please
i have updated to the 3.03a and then used the wininstaller to try to go to 3.03c... however i copy the file over to my psp and i try load it and it gives me an error msg saying it cannot start. (its an error from within the psp menu and not the loader.)
do i need to do something to get rid of the 3.03a, i know the forum says i dont need to.
i formatted the memory stick since updating to 3.03a and gave it a clean slate for the 3.03c upgrade.
any help appreicated.
