Did you get the drivers for the SATA card from http://viaarena.com ?
Also, don't use xhack / xread because I've never used it myself and don't know if it's the same method.

ok im looking at the site for the drivers, also i have tried the tutorial from the first page and alos the xread one but i still dont see my xbox 360 dvd drive im only getting the IDE sec master and IDE sec slave and thats it... when i go to hardware says that the card is working correctly. so am i suppose to install the xbox 360 drive like if i was to get a new dvd burner or something?

Also i read in this forum some people need the cd/cd writer that has the special chipset that most people over look and soem1 said all Liteon drives have it i have a Liteon Dual Layer DVD burner and the recommended DVD drive for xbox 360. so i think that im covered on
that.

Also i think i have the latest drivers 5.1.2600.530 ?

You using the wrong port. Use the one inside the case, the one furthest out at the end of the card. It's labeled SATA1

Samread/samhack is not the what tutorial shows people ur suppose to use mtkflash i dont think the new people to the whole modding seen will understand if people start changing what this forum is about, should stick to the way this tutorial shows. Just my thought.

use xtreme52a.bin for ms28 drives and xtreme52a-ms25.bin for ms25 drives.

kinda stuck, i got the bootmaker and everything good, i got the usb drive booting, i go to dos i type the command and i can see a list of drives , primary ,secondary, xtreme primary, and my VIA 8237 , i turned off the 360, and then i selected the xtreme primary, and then i waited 15 seconds turned on the 360 and nothing happened it just sat there , no error or nothing, should i click the VIA 8237 instead?
plus i turned on the sata ports in the bios, and i switched them from raid to IDE? is that correct?

Are you using the 6241 PCI card as well as the onboard 8237?
If you have the M28 connected to the 8237, make sure you use the primary sata port and select it instead of xtreme primary while in dos.
