What is this simple dns expiring or dying? My ip address change on my compter from 103 to 101 so I went along to change the dns on my ps2. Now I get this signed out of ps3 network and that number. How do I know dns is expired? I put 999 days.

Well, I have finally found the best way (IMO) to do this. I tried ettercap in Linux, but it buggered up my network while it was running. I tried ettercap for windows, but it crashes on my PC when I try to set it up. I tried the SimpleDNS method, and it worked fine, but of course it's not a free program. THEN I finally came across the ideal method. It's basically the exact same as doing it with SimpleDNS, but it's using a program called Posadis (which is a free, open source program for Windows and Linux). Give it a try, it works like a charm.

14 days unless you used the "serial" which has been nuked. If you search the regular places there is a fix for the SimpleDNS.

Now nothing with simple dns is working. I reinstalled it on another computer and it lets me get on. How do I get it working on the laptop it used to be on. For that extra 14 days what do i need to put in the .txt file?
