Howdy Affleck1... Flashing the box is quite easy to do...Just follow Brian1956's posts above and on previous pages (the one's with the little flashing red lights) and you'll be working within 30mins. I initialized my box a couple of weeks ago and installed 7.44 then 7.52 then 7.56 in about 20 mins, then the scan took about another 6 mins and everything was fine....Cheers...The Scaldy One!!!

I've had a very good w/e after the mancs done the gooners good and proper.
Back to the point is there any news on the EPG,it's been a while now just thought some whizkid would av done a fix by now.

Hey guys finally got the L71BT cable from maplins but still having problems trying to flash the box, I have v7.42a, v7.44, v7.52 but when i try to update via stblink it just says connecting? I've installed drivers for the usb serial connector, any help??

Go into the windows device manager & make sure it's not reporting any problems with the USB adapter.
Then make sure you have the correct COM port set in STBlink

For some reason it'll only recognise my com as 10 and I cant get it to 1 or 2...

Do the following.
START
Right Click "MY COMPUTER"
Choose "MANAGE"
In the resulting window, click on "DEVICE MANAGER"
In the right hand pane, click on the little plus sign beside "PORTS" in the right hand pane.
Right click on the USB Adapter (Should be something like "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM#)
Choose "Properties"
Click on "PORT SETTINGS" TAB
Click on "ADVANCED"
Then you will see the COM Port Number Box. You should be able to change it there using the drop down box.

I'm not sure but you may need to restart Windows before the Com port change is recognised, Re-boot your machine & check to see that the port change was kept.
Failing that, try COM2 or some other port.

hey guts finally got the box working and upgraded to 7.52, only thing is the damn channels wont come in!! I've tuned at symbol rate 6875 (Chorus) and started tuning at 200 to to 460mhz and followed the steps by changing the codes from 0000 to 7777 and knocking off the controls, but cant get into the current key menu, whenever i press the ok button it doesn't do anything, any help? again?

When all the channels are found....Select VIEW.
If you get 0000:scrambled
Go to menu,
User Installation
Parental lock
Current password 0000
Parental lock ?off
Install lock ----off
New password 7777
Confirm password 7777
Exit to TV Screen,
You need to go to parental lock again
Current password
Type 7777
Goto key manager.
Current key----ok
Auto update -----off

Another option is to clone from another working box if you have access to one. (One that's already setup)
Here's how.
To do this just power up the one that has all the Chans on, we will call it "BOX 1) connect null modem cable to it.
Then with power OFF on second box (Plug Out) connect other side of null modem cable to this box (BOX 2). Then power up BOX 2. The light on the front of BOX 2 (the one you are copying to) will flash red/green approx every second for about 5 mins it will then flash rapidly when it is complete. When this happens (Wait for a minute)it is complete. Unplug the power from BOX 2 and disconnect the null cable. You then have an exact copy of BOX 1 including password and favs.

not too sure if that'll work the only other box i can clone off is for ntl dub, I've updated using the latest firmware for IRL 7.52 ie, currently it's coming up as 1800 scrambled and not allowing any access to switch off the automatic updates

Go to the firmware folder you will find a file called replay lite 756
Download it to your desktop.
In the software folder you will find the stblink 5.20
Download it to your desktop.
In the documentation folder you will find a PDF file called Flashing the replay lite box.
Download it to your desktop.
Flash the box as per the instructions in the flashing the replay lite box PDF,only use the new v756 file (insted of 752 which is in the instructions)
When you have the box updated.
Do a full scan
Start frequency 290
End frequency 403
Symbol rate scroll left till you see *****, enter 6875 and press ok on your remote control.
Make sure it stays on 6875
Constellation 64 QAM
Search by network ON
Search ?.when all channels are found select view.
Go to parental lock
Current password 7777 it might be 0000
Parental lock: OFF
Install lock OFF
New password 7777
Confirm password 7777
Exit back to TV
Go to parental lock.
Goto key manager,
Nagra page.
Scroll left till you see 0x5E (if it?s not there, add provider ID) Type 5E in the box that pops up.
Exit back to tv.

ok I originally had 7.56 on the box before i tried to update it because to 7.52 because i couldn't get every channel and was told that 7.52 was the firmware needed to get all the channels. Will 7.56 only give me the previous channels??

There has been some conflicting reports about that. Some say that in certain areas on Chou*s they have to use 7.56 & others say 7.52 is the only one that works.
As far as I know 7.52 is the most recent trusted version.
Are you sure you have this set?
Go to parental lock.
Goto key manager,
Nagra page.
Scroll left till you see 0x5E (if it?s not there, add provider ID) Type 5E in the box that pops up.
Exit back to tv. Then do a full scan.

Howya Behaner... I sent a box with 7.56 installed from Dub to The BogBall Striking County 2 weeks ago and it is working perfectly I'm told. All channels working OK. I was told by a contact on the "Mainland" that 7.56 is the latest firmware supporting both Ch**us and Nthell....Cheers...The Scaldy One...

Hi Guys,
not been on here for a while due to Brian's brilliant advice... I have never needed to ask anymore questions. upunitll now that is :)
I want to watch the Celtic V Barcelona game tonight on sky sports 2.
The problem is, the game is on via interactive and the default game will be Arsenal V AC Milan. I have not got a clue if you can switch between games using the red button/interactive button. does the replaylite support this? if so how can I watch the Celtic V Barcelona game?
any help would be appreciated :)

nice one gman got the box back working finally!! still missing a few channels though but I'm just glad I can watch tv now!
I was wondering if i rescan using the autosearch do i have to put all the codes in again and set the it to 5E again?
