Hey ScOuser,do you know how i check to see if im Chorus MMDS or NTL mmds?Is there a way of doing this on the ntl box i got,it has a smart card it in.

Yeah It has the 910 on it. So I should be ok so.
Might have to do a rescan.
Some of the channels have moved frequency so a rescan might be a good idea. Or gman496 has a channel dump in his sig.

ScOuser I have a box but its a Thompson,heard somewhere that these use Nagra2,so no boxes will work :(

Dont mind the N2 thing. Thats a new DVR box are there any labels on it or underneath it?

Ill have to check when I get home,do Chorus use them thompson boxes?Is there any easy way of finding out if im chrous or ntl?

N** & Ch**us use them as they are the U*C DVRs. I know you are away from home now so cannot check for labels etc. Other than that you could check a neighbour's box, but you would have to know them well enough :)
EDIT: Did you do a factory reset before you done a rescan on 6887? As you say you still have the N** cable frequencies on the box. You need to do a factory reset to clear the cable TPs, as MMDS frequencies differ. Is the power inserter powered up?

Ye done a factory reset on the replay and scanned and still nothing,thats why im thinking im chorus mmds.Ill check under the thompson box when i get home and ill let you know if there are any labels etc...thanks for all your help.

Hi Everybody,
Having a big problem with my friend's Replay Lite box. About a week ago the channels went off. I did an auto scan and then went into parental lock to check the keys. I can't get into the keys. There is no option to "GOTO Key Mangager" The red button doesn't come up. I've done a factory reset and entered the pass numbers several times but the red button does not come up.
Any help greatly appreciated.

If the RED Button is missing in the parental settings section, do the following.
Try and set your password back to 0000 save the changes and go back in and change the password again to 7777 save and exit, then go back in again and see if the red icon is there to access the Key Manager.
This happens sometimes on the replay lite boxes but if you do the above you can get into the Key Manager.

Well rang up UPC and they said that i am defo ntl mmds,which means my replay box should work,but still it dosent,only 3 days to the golf,someone help me please

You have done a factory reset, you have auto scanned on symbol rate 6887, you have the 910 firmware on it?
All i can suggest is to reflash it and then scan again, unless scouser comes up with a better idea.

It's worth a try if nothing else is working. Sometimes a new flash will get the boxes working again if they are stuck.

who confirmed that and are you sure your scaning everything ritgh all the cables in right places ?

scouser said he was n*l mmds, fergusrb thought he might be chor*s mmds, he says he rang upc and they said it was n*l, don't know if i'd believe them though.
What does the box u have say underneath, does it say dvb t? Did u look for labels like scouser told you to?

I rang upc today and they confirmed that I was ntl mmds and not chorus mmds and yes cables are in the correct place,I have a downcoverter which I plug the cable from the wall into and then from that into my replay.

Not sure id believe them myself,but was talking to some bird who didnt sound like the lying type,now theres a thing a bird that doesnt lie ha!Did check the ntl box and there are no labels or anything,checked in the menu and nothing there to tell me if it was dvb t/c etc.
