I am pretty sure thats not fake, do a search on google for "Sony Jigkick" and many results come up about the Sony Unbricking utility.

I also thought of this if it could be anything to confirm the above. When you first turn on a PSP it access the MS, then starts to turn on. I think it does the same when bricked. If this is true it means that it could be looking for the Magic Memory Stick and the JigKick battery as a first device to boot from, if that is not found, it goes to the flash0 and starts to boot the PSP firmware. So if the Magic Memory Stick and the JigKick battery are inside, it loads and runs whatever is on the memory stick. This could be how Sony unbricks PSPs

I did a little research, and I found out there is a chance the 3.12 Project may not work on TA-082+ mobos, since TA-082 was made WAY after 1.50 was released, so TA-082 mobos may not recognize the prxs in the 1.50 update. I know it's a stupid idea, but this could possibly save TA-082+ users awaiting 3.12. Yep, its stupid, lol. xD.

The 'battery' reflash is pretty viable

Batteries have a circuit board and chip in them like any other electronic device. The theory behind it is pretty viable. An eboot is placed on a memory stick and loaded into the PSP. The 'special battery' whatever its called is loaded in. When the system powers up, a signal is sent along the ground to the PSP that tells it to do a forced reflash using the memory stick.

Nobody knows the 'specifics' hence why at best -- this is just viable, not necessarily fact.

Everyone has a theory as to how it works.

PS - Whoever referred to DAX as a 'noob' needs to stfu. When you've contributed what he has contributed, developed what he's developed, and proven yourself to literally hundreds of thousands of people in the scene the way he has. Then you can 'jokingly' (or otherwise) call him what you please, until then...I suggest you show the man some serious respect, he's earned it.

Sorry if that sounds a little hostile, but I think its really disrespectful to take a pot shot at people like DAX who have put literally hundreds if not thousands of hours over the years developing these cracks and finding these exploits so there could even be a scene for us to take part in. ;)

Hey Blackwire,

I wasn't suggesting you should give up at all :) Infact, I think you may have a good idea. You can't 'downgrade' the firmware, but perhaps you can fool the system into thinking you're applying an 'upgrade' but again you'd have to find an exploit to make the system do this.

Obviusly, you have no idea I found a 3.10-3.40 exploit.

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/503467

It also worked on 3.10/3.11 too. XD

lol good things come for those who wait....now everyone needs to stop upgrading their damn psps so we dont have to go through this crisis once again, but noobz will be noobz and they will need help once sony tries to stop modding attempts with more firmwares.. AD FTW!! lol

Noobz.eu has found an exploit using Lumines. It works on every firmware according to them. This is alot better than the GTA exploit that required a hard to find UMD. A downgrader should be out soon. Woot.
