just be sure to format ur memory stick after getting 3.40 oea, it saves A LOT of time.
(+[__]%) put this psp in ur siggy. just do it.
PSP Firmware: constantly changing, currently GoldenEye.

Im interested in doing playing PS1 games onto the PSP. Is there a link that does the up to date guide on how to bring PS1 games on to the PSP?

EDIT: Does it matter what copy of Lumines i buy? Or does it have to be lumines greatest hits or lumines platinium?

i just want to know is there anyother way to downgrade without lumines?
if not, how much is it, how do i know if it is the version that the downgrader requires, how much is it, and wat is the game about is it fun?

the only way at the moment is with lumines, it should b around 20-30 dollars, and any version will work so far, just make sure its Lumines and not Lumines 2

Yes. Any psp can be downgraded, just don't use the japnaese Lumines
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

Please help out with a quick noob question. I have a PSP v2.7 with lots of backup ISOs. I got this thing for my kids and have been reading over these forums on and off for weeks trying to figure out how to use them. I bought the new game Ratatoullie and it says I need to upgrade to v3.5.
Is there a way that I can maximize homebrew and backup isos and also play this v3.5 game? Should I upgrade to 3.5 and then use a downgrader? Can I switch back and forth easily? And lastly, when you mention Lumines, are you speaking of purchasing the actual game umd from a store or online store or downloading?
Thanks for your time. I got this for my kids and cant figure this stuff out on my time right now. They have Nintendo DS and that stuff is easy. This stuff is blowing me away.

All The info need for downgradeing is right here.http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-hacks-9/t-guidethe-ultimate-downgrader-guide-90916.html .Make sure you check and see what kind of motherboard you have so you dont brick.
After you do this check out this thread for upgradeing to 3.52M33. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/569454 That should be good enough, but if you want the latest just follow the rest of the directions.
After you get on the custom firmware you choose. Format your mem stick and place all your "back up" ISO/CSO in the ISO folder on the root of your mem stick.
The great thing about custom firmware is there is no reason to go back to offical sony firmware!
REMEMBER TO READ AND FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS!
