I'm sure there will be a mod sometime in the future and personally I can't wait but the problem is not going to be the mod but the technology, the ps3 is the first system to introduce bluray discs for gaming and that technology is currently pretty expensive like $600 for a burner and like $20-25 for a blank bluray disc. Now i read a few people complaining saying buy the games and stop piracy and I'm with you on that aspect but backups are not a bad thing and i personally enjoy them because I can backup my owned games and then put the original away so it doesn't get ruined from wear. The other aspect of modding is homebrew which i really enjoy and is another big reason I can't wait for a mod because with these powerful next gen consoles if homebrew was able to run I'd love to see what developers can crank out for these consoles the xbox 360 is modded but its basically for backups only cause they cant run .xbe's unless its a replica of an orginal game thus the reason why backups only on that console ATM. In conclusion modding is a great thing if the end user wouldnt abuse the privledge and I can't wait until the ps3 has been exploited or any of the nextgen consoles can run homebrew.

I just bought the Tekken Dark on the PS3.

the game downloaded to HDD of ps3. the game works.
I wounder did anyone have same thing. it kind the game has own program to be played the backup game.

The guys over at ps3hax.net came up with the most recent tiff file that they have been playing with. It's starting to look pretty good.

I wouldn't expect anything over night.

If you want to do some research on whats causing all the trouble in hacking the ps3 its that damn hypervisor....

nice research,i went on ps3hax.net and i gotta say they will be releasing homebrew and exploit.sure it'd be good to mod your ps3 but im not gonna waste money and destroy my console by accident.but hey maybe later in time.

What I can say is that for the everyday user is to just keep updating for now.

Over at ps3hax.net we are getting close to things, lotsa little steps, but nothing "HUGE" yet. Those little things add up though :)

it should be coming... compared to other consoles timlines, it takes at least 6 months after rls date.
