You have to Pay off the Mods.

It goes by how many INFORMATIVE post you have made. Padding your post will not get you any further up the ranks (giving usless one word or line answers is padding your post).
So if you reply to a thread make sure your giving an informative answer. If you just give one liners etc. etc. then you won't find yourself advancing to the next level.

OK thanx, I get it now.
Could someone tell me of a program I could use to backup UMDs, but one that rips them to a size smaller than 1 GB.
I am on custom firmware 3.52M33-4

Anything that rips them will make them the same size - Its just the size of that game.
Rip them to the PC with the inbuilt 3.52 M33-4 ripper, and then convert them to CSO to make them smaller.

3.52 M33-4 has a VSH Menu that can be brought up by being in the XMB(PSP MENU) and press HOME button. This should bring up the VSH menu if you have it enabled. If you don't have it enabled then you need to go into Recovery Menu (Hold R shoulder button down while turning on the PSP). Now go to configuration and press X. Go down to "Use VshMenu" and enable it. Now go to BACK press X then down to EXIT press X it will boot you to the XMB. Now Press the HOME button and the VSH menu should come up.
There will be an option called USB DEVICE in the list of the menu. This will change what the USB device will access. Change it from Memory Stick to UMD DISC.
Now stick the UMD in the bay that you want to make a backup of. Then connect the PSP to PC via USB and you will have access to the ISO file on the UMD. Just drag it to your PC. After it is done transferring rename it to the title of the game.
I use PSP ISO Compressor 1.4 to convert my ISO to CSO files. You can get it HERE.
Don't forget to change the USB Device back to Memory Stick after you rip the backup.

It is pretty much self explanatory.
Load the ISO and choose convert ISO to CSO theres an option to choose how much you want it compressed then run the program to compresses it.

It says clear as day INPUT FILE
Click on the button to the right of the entry bar and browse to your ISO file.
The output file will automaticly be made in the same directory. 1 of the files will be .ISO and 1 will be .CSO after you convert it.
Plus no I can't link you to Metal Gear Solid 1 its against forum rules.
Google it.

I have a game that is in multiple parts, and each part is a .DAX file.
I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to make these work on my PSP.
I have heard that 3.60M33 has been released, is this only for PSP SLIMS or will it work on the old one as well??

The 3.60 M33 is just for slim, for fat they're working on 3.71 M33, though there are some problems, as Sony have gone and made the firmware take up more room, so M33 have some trouble fitting the 1.50 files in as well.
.DAX files can only be loaded with a DAX loader i think, they were made for 1.50, not sure if they'll still work with CFW, but they should.

No, no idea where you can get a DAX loader...
And no, there isn't a 2.70 M33, only 3.51+

You can already get 3.71 M33.
You can download it HERE.
Keep in mind 1.50 kernel homebrew/Emulators/Plugins will not work yet on it. They are supposed to add a 1.50 Add-on kernel soon. But any homebrew or PSP/PSX game that require a higher firmware then 1.50 will work.

My brother has a 3.50 PSP that he wants me to downgrade for him, I would like to know which versions of Lumines can be used, and which ones are patched.
I also got some custom buttons, so can someone give me a guide on how to install them.

1.50 kernel mode for 3.71 M33 was released eariler today :)
With Lumines, the one with the 3.51 update is the patched version, that one will not work.
But you know you could make a Pandora Battery with your PSP to use to downgrade the other?

Wouldn't it be easier to downgrade using lumines, as I have heard that using pandora's battery doesnt restorea full version of 1.50
Which copies of lumines could i use ( the titles)
PS is it better to upgrade to 3.71M33 now or wait for updates like in 3.52M33

If you have the 1.50 eboot on the Pandora memory stick then it will install the full 1.50, you require the 1.50 eboot to make the Pandora mem stick in the first place, so just leave the file on the stick.
I suggest Pandora over Lumines as it wouldn't cost you anything extra to do Pandora, unless you can get Lumines for free.
All versions of Lumines are ok (Any region, and including the "greatest hits" version) just as long as they aren't patched (Read my above post).
3.52 M33-4 is still the best firmware, i'd leave 3.71 M33 for now.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!when i ran my easy installer, and tried to change the directory from my documents to my PSP drive, it crashed and closed each time(error report, tried ten times). so i copied the files to my memory card as they only extracted to my documents, created the battery and put it in the psp i wanted to downgrade(sony fw 3.11), as soon as I put it in the PSP power light turned green but the screen stayed dark, i tried many times but haven't had any sucess
PLZ tell me how i can make this work
